Back in Business

My little Cash is back. The one that won't hold still for more than 20 seconds and that gets in to every drawer, cupboard, and anything else that could pinch his little fingers. No more pain killers and laying around all day. This is our latest little challenge. He absolutley refuses to sit in the cart...no way...not Cash. He has to stand and watch everything that's going on behind him. I just laugh every time I see this little picture of him. I look away for one second to check out the latest deals at Target and this is what happens. I'm going to have to come up with a new shopping strategy. And no Toby...giving it up completely is just not an option.

Round Two

Recently Cash had to go through his second round of surgery. What a little trooper he is. Toby and I knew it had to be done but kind of stressed about it for months. He had a hydrocele that just wouldn't shrink on it's own since his first surgery when he was 3 weeks old. I kept taking him in for check ups and this last time I took him in they were suspicious of a second hernia as well so they just scheduled him for surgery that monday. I know hernia's are fairly common but it's still really hard to know your little baby is going under anastesia and being worked on. He was an absolute sweetheart before the surgery smiling away at all the nurses and doctors. The surgery went really well other than it took about 1 1/2 hours longer than they told us so I was obviously getting very concerned. (Thanks Jessica for the phone call!) He looked like such an angel in recovery and in all the pictures I took of him after he was only frowning in one...the one that looks like maybe the saddest picture in all the world. He layed on his back without moving a muscle for 2 plus days which those of you who know Cash know what a miracle that is. But he's doing wonderful and like I said look at all these smiling pictures of him. He's one of a kind. I love you Cash.

Our Fifth Anniversary

Last Saturday marked five long years for Toby and I! We celebrated by going out to eat at the Melting Pot. Second best meal I've ever had...first being my meal at the Melting Pot last year for our fourth annniversary. Some seriously good food. And thanks again to TJ for the awesome discount. Anyone who knows me knows how hard it is for me to leave my kids overnight. So hard that I've never done it before! But we figured a fifth anniversary warrented such an occasion. Elle isn't the best sleeper and I'm just a worrier but that night we left the kids and stayed at the Anniversary Inn. We had a blast sleeping in and getting breakfast in bed. Then we got all bundled up and headed to the BYU game. We were finally able to meet up with the Jones, Sawyers, and Bruses for a pregame meal. Also very good. It was such a great weekend for Toby and I but by the end I was extremely excited to get home to my two little buddies. They did great and I have to say Cash was pretty excited to see his mother! Maybe next time we'll try for 2 nights....maybe. :) Thanks for five wonderful years of marriage Tob. You really are my best friend. Here's a few pictures of our weekend...and a couple of the kids just for the heck of it.
