Camp Out! and Memorial Weekend

When we were little my parents used to set up a tent in the backyard and we'd have sleepovers and "campouts". Memorial weekend Josh called us up to see if we wanted to have one of our imfamous campouts. I love that my parents don't even have to plan the parties these days...my brothers do! My Dad is just a big kid who LOVES to have fun and apparently he's passed this trait down to his kids. Josh and Jordan went and picked out the tent and set it up and my mom got all the smores and treats ready. Elle and Brooklyn couldn't stop giggling and laughing out there. Despite the rain everyone slept out there. (Except us of course...party poopers but Elle still has a really hard time sleeping at night period.) Only problem now is Elle's asked us fifteen times if we could have another campout tonight. Good times! We also spent Memorial Weekend up in Ogden honoring my Grandpa and being with my Grandma. My Grandpa passed away almost a year and a half ago and we miss him so much! I can't believe how hard it is to loose someone you love so much. It was really nice to be all together and to talk about some of our greatest memories with my Grandpa.

Elle FINALLY turns 4!

I'm a little late writing this post but things have been pretty busy around here...but I can't put it off any longer. I have to document the day Elle turned four because I can't even begin to explain how excited she was! She must have asked me everyday for 3 months how much longer till she's four. We were going to be in St. George over her birthday and when I told her that she said, " No mom! We can't go there because then Hope won't know I turned four!" She wanted to make sure everyone knew. We celebrated with the Christensen's at Cheesecake factory. (Notice the wet paper towel she's holding over her eye? When I took her to the bathroom she didn't get all the soap off her hands and half way walking back to our table she rubbed her eye and instantly starting screaming bloody murder. It was a little embarassing picking her up kicking and screaming back into the bathroom.) Kathy made her the most adorable dress and I'm SO excited about it. She LOVES is! Then tues we threw her a "fairtale" party because she has too many little boy friends to have a "Princess" party. We played princess princess pirate (thanks Jami for that idea) Fairytale bingo, pin the fire on the dragon, and went on a treasure hunt:) She was very cute about the whole thing and asked me "if we could have another party tomorrow?!" Then that night we celebrated at my parents with my whole family with a cinco de mayo theme. My brothers crack me up...they seriously planned the whole thing: steak fajitas, chips n salsas, tostadas, margaritas, horchata, jalepeno lights everywhere, sombrero's, mustache's, and of course ricki martin, enrique, and shakira. We had a dance party outside and laughed all night. Toby was already in st george for work, but my parents were going down on their yearly trip with their friends so I hitched a ride with them. When we got there Toby had put up like 40 balloons all over the condo and each one had something written on it special about Elle. It was so thoughtful of him. We had yet another fun night celebrating her day. At the last minute we invited some of my family to come down with us since toby was playing in a game down there that weekend and EVERY single one of them ended up coming down. We had so much fun! Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate Elle. We love that little girl with all our hearts and are so thankful for what she brings to our little family. She keeps us laughing ALL the time. I can't believe she's four. WE LOVE YOU ELLE!!!!

Girls Trip

I did it! For the 1st time ever I made it to the girls annual las vegas trip:) It was sure fun. I've never done anything like that before. Me being the baby that I am couldn't leave my kids for very long so I flew out friday morning and came back saturday afternoon but I sure fit a lot in for such a short time. I didn't remember what it was like relaxing at the pool without bringing 3 different types of sunscreen, 10 different types of pool toys, and getting splashed every second. We loved the lazy river and just talking and laughing. We shopped and ate dinner and shopped some more and thank you Linds for the great idea to do frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. That was so good i had to drink out of 2 at the same time. :) We stayed up half the night laughing and talking some more. I'll never forget Janessa's fake tripping. How funny. Thanks to all the girls for being so great and fun... maybe next year I can make it 2 nights! - you girls need to get your pictures posted. I was too busy laughing to take many pics.
