The January blues

January is tough! Christmas is over. The weather is no good. Kids are bored but I'm too cold to go out and do too much. So last week we went to the Aquarium and to ride the "choo choo express" at the mall. Unbelievable that the aquarium was NINE bucks a person and the train was THREE bucks a person, including the parent! I opted to walk along side it. I swear they charge this much because they know sucker parents like me are trying to hard to find something to keep their kids from driving each other crazy during the winter. Plus Jamie had to go for a school project so I was trying to be a good sister and help her out. All worth it though, the kids had a great time:)

Family Pictures

I was just looking back through my blog and realized I never actually posted these. Must have become too busy during the holidays:) Angie thanks so much for doing them...you are so talented. We took them at Market Street Grill in downtown Salt Lake and although Elle looks like she's just posing and happy as could be inbetween each couple of shots she'd say, "Mom this smells disgusting! Can we go now?" and gag a little. It was pretty funny actually. And Cash just copied his big sister and smiled away. Couldn't ask for much more from family picture day. p.s. I sewed Elle's dress...pretty proud of it:)

New Years 2010

It was yet another successful party at the Jones' on New Years Eve. Great food, great company, great game of Crud, and fireballs. What more could you ask for?!

Christmas Part 2

Get ready for picture overload! It's hard for me to write about how fantastic Christmas was because that means that it's over and we have 12 more months to go. Thanks to my wonderful kids we had the "Best Christmas ever!" (Elle's words)Seriously they make everything better. That's why there's so many pictures here. I tried to catch as many of their adorable facial expressions as I could. Elle was SO excited to see stuff in her stocking sticking out, cookies and hot chocolate gone, and Santa's snowy footprints going down the stairs. I LOVED the look on their faces when they ran down to find their presents under the tree. We really didn't do too much this year...but Santa left them each a beautiful picture of Christ that I was really excited about:) It was great to see their faces light up when they saw them. Cash got a lightning McQeen couch and Elle got her Jessie doll and Bolt... which was all she asked for. We had such a good time visiting both families...we were so excited that Tory and Janie came in to town and we got to meet our new little niece Macey. It was so nice to exchange thoughtful gifts with one another. The best gift we got was an annoucement that Joel and Tessa are expecting their first little baby. We have such wonderful friends and family and are so blessed!!!!! Merry Christmas!!!!
