Breakfast with a Witch

While the boys were away...we decided to play! All the boys (plus Jamie...funny girl) went to Montana on a fishing trip so we were forced to find something fun to do:) Gardner Village offered the cutest little event called "Breakfast with a Witch" that we decided to take the kids to. They LOVED it! We went through a little breakfast buffet then as we sat at our tables and ate while all the "witches" walked around and signed autographs and put on a little show. Of course Elle would start her own Monster Mash..which caught on and the witches came to dance with the kids. We were able to take some time to walk around the village after and enjoy some much needed Mother/daughters time. Thank you so much MOM! I think you just started a new tradition:)

Downtown Disney

For some reason it's kind of turned into a tradition to go to Downtown Disney the last night of our vacations. We LOVE it there. Between some of my favorite stores (I love Something Silver), the kids favorite store where they get to pick our their one souvenier, and some of our favorite restaurants (ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe) we find plenty to do in one evening. The night life there is so fun and it's always just a walk away from our hotel....Goodbye Downtown Disney...until next year:)

Newport Beach

Anyone who's going to go to Disneyland two full days should know a day in between to recover is just what the doctor ordered..and theres no place better to do that than a beach! We headed off to Newporth with no schedule and just got some much needed R&R. Toby and Elle made sand castles, gathered sea shells, and splashed around while Cash and I took a nap together for about an hour....on the beach...in the sun...it was heaven. A beach may be the one major thing that Utah is missing!

Disneyland cont.

Soarin Over California Of course Elle had to take a picture in front of the "L" This was a big moment in Cash's little life So we took a day break inbetween to rest from the drive and late night at DL the night before and just laid by the pool and visted Cam and Sarah Coughlin (who of course are the reason we are able to get into Disneyland as often as we do...we LOVE you guys) - then headed back to the park. First ride I took Elle and went on Soarin Over California which ended up being her very favorite ride this year. It was so amazing to watch her face just light up and I loved how throughout the whole day she kept asking things like "mom are we really flying?" or "Mom are those animals real" or "mom does jessie (from toy story) really live here?" Every thing is so REAL to her right now and I love watching her eyes take it all in. Last year Cash couldn't go on the Mickey Mouse roller coaster by 1 inch so after growing a few inches he was able to go on it for the first time..(thus the little picture of him infront of it holding the "#1" sign up. :) And 2 things that we had never seen before..the Aladdin show and World of Color were both just awesome. It was a perfect day.

Disneyland 2010 Trick or Treat!

The kids getting ready to go to DL in their costumes. Pretty cute. One of the better moments of my life...watching this (Picture Overload!) What can I say? We love Disneyland! We headed to California last week for a nice week long vacation...and loved every second of it. Somehow the stars aligned and we were able to meet up with the Kelsch's tues night for a night of trick or treating at Disneyland. I've been in the spring summer and winter...and now fall which may just take 1st place out of the four. Halloween time is amazing there! The details are unbelievable. Everyone who doesn't have a special ticket is kicked out around six so we were able to walk up to about every ride. The kids got all dressed up for the night and went trick or treating to different stations they had set up around the park. Magical. My favorite part of the whole night was the little "Monster Mash" they had set up in the tomorrow land terrace. The kids got to dance the night away with buzz lightyear and others with all this fun modern music playing. I'll never forget the smiles on their faces...priceless. Then the firework show was one of the best I've ever seen and the castle looked haunted and kept changing colors...I could go on and on. I know where I'll be wanting to go come next October:)
