"A Pirates Life for Me!"

Cash was planning his 3 year old birthday party back in May when Elle had her birthday. He was bent on having a pirate party so a pirate party it was.(at the last minute he started asking for friends but seeing on how i wasn't planning on that I was greatful for our families coming to make it so special for him) It came with all the fixings: walking the plank, a treasure hunt, pin the flag on x, pirates rum(ibc rootbeer), digging for treasure, and lots of fun costumes. Together we had a blast turning our house into Christensens Cove. It wouldn't have been complete without the music "Yo ho Yo ho a pirates life for me" playing over and over since that is basically Cash's theme song...and of course lots and lots of candles. This little boy lights up our whole world. He is so much sweeter than I ever thought a 3 year old boy could be. I'll never get enough of all of his spontaneous "I just love you Mom..more than the whole wide world,"s or just simply out of no where..."I want you." He's still so thin and can't keep his pants up the majority of the time. He waits by the window around noon every day that Elle goes to school and constantly is telling me she's his best friend. Cash loves Buzz lightyear, Spiderman, D Will, Lebron James, his Jordans nike shoes, and sneaking in bed with us in the middle of the night. I can't cook a meal without him running into the kitchen asking me "how can I help you mom?" The other day he helped by cracking an egg in the wrong bowl. When I said "Cash!" he replied..."My bad mom." That was a first:) I am taken with his light blond hair and jet black eyes. He melts my heart on a daily basis and I love him. Happy Birthday little boy!

Celebrating TOBY!

Happy 32nd birthday to the person that makes our world go round! We celebrated by having our traditional birthday party for Toby at my Dad's work (SLCC instute) where we played basketball, air hockey, pool, and of course our dance party. The next night he and I got to enjoy a wonderful dinner at Rodizio's and then on Sunday we had another fun party at the Christensens. We love you Tob.

Cash's 1st Jazz Game

So my Dad was given some tickets to a Jazz game by one of his students and couldn't go so he called Toby and asked him if he and Jordan would want to go. As he was getting ready to leave he decided to take Cash with him. We got Cash all ready to go in his little Korver Jersey and they headed out. While I'm sitting at home I get these pics on my cell phone. WHAT???!!! The Jazz bear is holding Cash??!! Not only is the Jazz Bear holding Cash...but he had taken Cash out of Toby's arms, ran him down on the court, flipped him upside down, then ran all the way up the stairs, back down, put him in some random ladies arms, then in another random ladies arms, and I guess it was at this time that Cash had maybe had enough and started to cry. The Jazz bear points at the lady...blames it on her:) and then hands him back to Toby. AND it was all being played on the Jumbo tron. What a way to spend your first Jazz game! Elle asked if she could go next time and if the Jazz Bear would do this to her? We told her most likely not....that was once in a life time:)

No Seven Year Itch for Me!

Happy 7th year anniversary to my best friend!!! It wouldn't be our anniversary without a dinner date out to The Melting Pot. Forgot my camera but no worries..a quick cell phone pic will do. Thank you to Toby for keeping me around all these years in spite of my nagging, complaining, mood swings, and shopping habits. I'm a lucky lucky girl.

Happy Halloween 2010!

The Crew beautiful I LOVE a man in a uniform I couldn't resist these costumes! Of course it took some convincing to get the kids to let go of all the super hero and princess costumes...but once they saw that mom and dad were going to have the same ones...they couldn't have been more thrilled. Halloween was a complete success filled with lots of fun games, food, treats, movies, and of course trick or treating. (Although Elle gave up trick or treating pretty early in the evening while Cash kept saying, "Come on mom...just one more house. We got to keep moving.") He definitly made my Dad proud:)
