All About Elle

I was going through some old pics and realized I'd forgotten to post some pics about Elle...so here I am...documenting events so they won't remain forgotten. After much deep thought and deliberation we decided to let Elle get her ears pierced in November. She had been pretty excited to do it, but I just wasn't sure I was ready. I knew it would make her look much more grown up...which it did. But she looks darling of course. We were down in St George and bless Michelle's heart, she packed up all 5 kids and met us at the mall because Elle wanted them there so badly. We got one ear pierced and that was all it took for Elle to decide she didn't want the other one done. Big problem. Michelle bribed her by telling her she could pick out anything there she wanted(So sweet of her)...and the second ear was pierced. Also some fun pics toby took of Elle and I and I took of Tob and her. I'm so in love this little girl. She's too smart for her own good. She keeps me on my toes and I'm constantly writing down the cute and hilarious things she says every day because I never want to forget them. For example, Toby was telling her last Saturday how excited he was to have the day off. She replied, "yeah! It's my day off too Dad! Cause you go to work all week so Saturday is your day off, and I go to school all week so it's my day off too...and Mom...well she never has to do anything so she has every day off, huh?" Not to worry, she got an earful about what I do every day of my life. Elle doesn't like shopping with me, but she loves all the girl stuff I bring home for her. We are so proud of all she's learning at school. She knows how to read most everything and is well above where she should be. She LOVES to sing and dance and is so good to her little brother. It wouldn't be possible to love her anymore than we do.

St. Patricks Day 2011!!!

We are GOING GREEN!!! Green pancakes, green milk, green pasta, asparagus, lime floats, green clothes...anything and everything Green! The kids woke up to find Steve(their leprachaun) had come to our house and delivered lots of goods, then went to Grandma and Grandpas and went on a treasure hunt to find that their leprachaun McTavish had come and gave them even more...Wow they certainly are a couple of LUCKY kids;)

One Year Older and Wiser Too!

This is one EXTREMELY loved Mother and Grandma! She is the most selfless person I have ever known in my entire life. It's unbelievable...everything she does is for someone else. It's amazing how many birthday cards and little gifts she gets from people because she NEVER misses anyones birthday and always makes them so special for others. The Grandkids ADORE her. I ADORE her. We had a wonderful night full of chocolate, fondue, presents, cake, and a TON of balloons...Happy Birthday Mom!!!!
