BYU Homecoming Game

Every Homecoming game Toby is able to get 4 free tickets to the game and we get to go to the Varsity tent and have a fun meal and walk out on the field. This year we invited our close friends the Hodges to come with us and enjoy the party:) We had such a good time! So many of our old friends were there along with former players like Ty Detmer, Robbie Bosco, and Chad Lewis. It was also Tate's first time down on the field (but second time to a BYU game). They chose to do a blackout for the game so we all wore our all black BYU gear and the players wore some sweet black uniforms. *Side story- So Tate was an angel the entire time...didn't even make a peak...but at halftime I decided to take him down to nurse before he got too hungry. As I was getting ready to head down I had the thought to take a diaper. So I'm looking around thinking where do I go to nurse this little guy and decide to just go in a bathroom stall. So there I am nursing him standing up and as I'm hoping to finish up after 15 min or so I hear some noises and am so grateful I brought a diaper. The whole diaper bag at the time just seemed to heavy and complicated go figure. So I sit down and put him into my lap to change him. Unfreakingbelievable. Blowout everywhere. Up his back, on my pants, all over his clothes, no babywipes, nowhere to lay him down, no cell phone. I just sat there for a good 3 minutse trying to decide what to do. I proceeded to take his onesies off, wipe him with toilet paper one handed, tried to clean off my clothes, threw one of his onesies away, put the other one back on, wash my hands, and walk back out into the cold. As I finally reached the top and sat down Jami and Toby were both gone somewhere and Troy was sitting there. I said to him, "do you have any idea what just happenned to me?" He said, "Tate just spit up all over you?" I said "No". He says..."Ya, Tate just spit up all over you." WHAT??!! He NEVER spits up. And there it is. White throw up all over my black shirt. Wow. Just wow. Anyway one of those stories that I always want to remember and just makes you smile. I have to laugh at it or I'll just cry:) And again Tate didn't make a peep the rest of the game. He is SOOOO Worth it!! It was great to be back there with Toby and it brought back so many fun memories. Such a fun time with such GREAT friends!

Happy Anniversary to US!

NINE YEARS! Even as I type that I can't believe it. At times it seems like yesterday, others it seems like an eternity. In a good way. We celebrated by once again going to our favorite restaurant in the world...The Melting Pot. What a great place it is! No loud music, beautiful atmosphere, just me and my best friend talking for hours. Couldn't ask for anything better. And our friend TJ came through for us once again witht he ridiculous discount. LOVE it. My mom watched Taters for us and he was doing great so we even walked through City Creek for a bit. Without getting all mushy and stuff I can't even express enough how grateful I am to be married to Toby. He is one of a kind. Never a boring day at our house. I know I can ask him for anything and he'll come through. He is the best Dad to my kids, and the best friend to me. I'm a lucky girl. We've got a good thing going. I'm trying to tie him down for a BIG vacation next year for our 10th anniversary. I'd even be happy to take the kids...just somewhere really fun. I'll let ya know how I do:)

Our Pumpkin Patch

Ahh...the tradition of the Pumpkin Patch. Yet another tradition we've been doing for years and years. And the best part is there's one practically in our neighborhood so it's so easy for us now. It's like our own little pumplin patch. The kids love the search for the perfect pumpkin and I'd say this year they came pretty darn close. And yet another one of Tate because again...
he's cute.

September's Coming and Goings

September was a busy month for us mostly because...da da da dahh JAMIE GOT MARRIED!!!!! I felt like at times during the two months prior it was PURE CHAOS, but in the end it was so worth it because it was the most INCREDIBLE wedding I had ever seen. I'm waiting for her pictures to come back...so I'll wait to write all about it then and post the pictures with it...but had to have it documented here in September. It was the PERFECT day. We are so happy for her and LOVE having Jace in the family. Cash also had a busy month. One day he decided he didn't want training wheels any more so Toby took them off and away he rode. Of course there were some falls but he learned faster than I've ever seen. What a champ. He also had Grandma's tea at Preschool and Pet day where he took his pet "LEO" to show off at the pet parade. LOVE that kid.

I'm Crazy About this BOY!

I really am. He is just so freakin adorable. And so kissable. And so snuggly. And he's kind of a mamma's boy...which I love. He used to get kind of fussy whenever I'd hand him off to someone else, but he's growing out of that stage which I guess is a good thing;) At his 4 month appointment he weighed 12.5 lbs and was only in the 5th percentile. He also wasn't sleeping very well (waking up every 2 to 3 hours), but Dr. Johnson informed us it was time to let him cry it out. I was so stressed about it because that's always been a tough thing for me to do and also it meant moving him from his little cradle by us to the next room in his crib. But I was also determined that this would be the thing that kept Toby and I sane and would be such a good thing once we got passed it. That night we geared up for it by getting our ear plugs ready and making a pact with each other that we'd lay him down at 10:00 and not get him out again till around 5:00am. I awoke to him crying and felt oddly rested. I looked at our clock at it was 6:00 am!!! What the??!!! It hasn't been that great every night, but there's only been 1 or 2 nights we've had to let him cry and it hasn't been too bad. He's doing so great. Naps are a different story. We need to work on those and get him on a schedule but it's tough when my schedule with the other kids is NUTS. We do what we can:)He wakes up with these HUGE smiles and gives them to us throughout the whole day. What a blessing he is to us. We already see so much of his little personality and know he fits perfectly into our family. He is one adored little boy.

Cashy Boy

Will someone please slow time down! This little boy is growing up way too fast! He just started his second year of preschool. I went to take his picture for the "first day of preschool" and he just posed himself like this. I had to laugh...it's so Cash!:) He also just had his last soccer game of this fall season and he ended it with a goal and an assist. We were all so happy. What a great little kid we have on our hands!

Mr. and Mrs. ROGERS!!!!

JAMIE GOT MARRIED!!!! I can't even believe it. My little sister. The only one I have. The one that is supposed to be a foot shorter than me with big teeth and bangs. Now she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in this world. Her day was so Magical! We couldn't be more happy about her choice in Jace. What a great guy she's found. Honestly it happened pretty fast...she had always wanted an outdoor wedding...but thought that it would be too risky to do outside in September so after much searching we decided on the barn at Wheeler Farm. That meant that we had to do ALL the decorations and ALL the food etc. What a whirlwind those 2 months were! There were so many little things that you don't even think about it! Things I know I was oblivious to when it was my wedding;) My mom and I worked so hard...mostly my Mom though. She's incredible. What an amazing lady she is. She pulled off the wedding of the century. It was so incredibly beautiful. It was all of her little touches that just made it all come together. And it helps that Jamie has such beautiful taste. Everything was so shabby chic and vintage...I would have loved my wedding just like it if I was getting married now ten years later:) Her dress, the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, every decoration, the food...everything was just perfect. Hope these pictures do it even a little justice. The BEST part of all? My Dad was able to seal her in a sealing that I will never forget. It was so sweet to watch him with his little girl as he was able to participate in the ceremony. The spirit was so strong and I really felt like my Grandma and Grandpa were there watching over us. We are all so very blessed. Welcome to the family Mr. and Mrs. ROGERS!!!!
