Memorial Day 2012

Memorial day is always a very special day to me. I so appreciate the opportunity I have to drive up to my grandparents graves and reflect on their lives and my memories of them. It's been great to share it with my family as we drive up together and drop off flowers and sit and talk about them. I miss them so much. I think about them daily. They helped shape who I am. There wasn't one special occassion in my life where they weren't there. I love seeing my kids help put the flowers down, and I'm so glad that they know how important they are to me...and that they have gotten to know them through all my stories. We were able to go to my Grandma Doris and Grandpa Leo's along with my Aunt Rene and Uncle Basils at the Willard Cemetary. My greatgrandma who I was named after is also there. Then we went to my Grandpa Jacks grave. After we drove to Rainbow gardens and had a wonderful lunch together. Then out to the Ogden Cemetary where my Grandpa Wimmer is and my other greatgrandparents. After we were able to visit my Grandma Wimmer...I love her so much. She's my last living grandparent and it's so hard for me to see her in the state she is in. I want so badly for her to be comfortable and pain free. Yep...Memorial Day is and always will be a very special day for me.

Cash graduates from the Gators!

Putting Cash at Visions Preschool was the one of best decision Toby and I have made for him:) He has ABSOLUTELY LOVED it there and it's helped keep him busy while Elle's been in 1st grade. He loves his teachers and has learned so much. He started off as a Panda but within the first three weeks he was doing work above that level so they moved him up to the Gators. Now he's graduated from Gators and next year he will be an OWL! He's so excited:) I really can't believe all he's learned. Throuout the year he learned the Pledge of Allegiance, to count to 100, knows the 51 States song, and is reading small books. What a stud. We LOVE you Cash and Congrats for moving up in the world!!!:)

Surprise!

There haven't been many times in my life that I have truly been SURPRISED...this is definitly one where I was. My friends had set up a dinner for one of my others friends that was here from out of town. Seeing as I was having a baby soon I was looking forward to getting out of the house and spending some time with my girlfriends. So after one of Cash's baseball games, I headed out to the Spaghetti Factory to meet up with them. When I got there I told them I was meeting up with a couple of girls and they sent me up the stairs. After I got up the stairs it took me a good 10 seconds to figure out what was going on. There was a table set up with a bunch of my best girlfriends along with tons of gifts, diapers, and balloons. What the?!!! I don't know how they pulled it off but it was such a HUGE SURPRISE to me! Honestly I wanted to cry. I immedietly felt so blessed and so loved that they would all take the time to plan this and be there for me. I seriously have the best friends. I am SO grateful for them. It is so good knowing that if I ever need anything they would be there in the drop of a hat. And I would do the same for them. It was one of the best nights I've had. We just laughed and talked and enjoyed being together. Wish I had gotten a picture with everyone there...we waited till the end..but thank you thank you thank you for making me feel so loved and special!

May Comings and Goings

We had a few things we wanted to do during the month of May knowing that a baby was coming right around the corner! One of those was one last trip to St.George as a family of 4. This mini vacation was on the best we'd had in a long time. Mostly cause Toby didn't have to work...so we were just together the whole time. We just layed around, went swimming, read our books together, and relaxed. It was LOVELY! Also, this was the first time we had Cash swimming a little without floaties. He did so well! My kids are little fish. We came home on Mothers day...and even while on vacation I was spoiled rotten with gifts, cards, and breakfast in bed with a raspberry granola pancake from Egg and I. I'm a very lucky girl. Another thing that the kids were dying to do was to have a Snowcone stand. Since Grandma gave one to Elle for her birthday this was all I had heard about. Actually she had wanted to do a lemonade stand since last summer and i just kept putting it off. So I bit the bullet one day and let them do it. Thank goodness for friends who have done this before..Jami lent us her table, signs, and her girls, and together they put on a lemonade/snowcone stand. Elle was so excited and Cash was by her side the whole time. I don't even think she was that concerned with the money although she did make about $20. It was pretty cute seeing their excitement over something so little. Makes me want to help them do it again:) We also celebrated Mothers Day at the farm with all of my cousins and Aunts. Grandma even made it which was so special. LOVE MY FAMILY.
