A Weekend Getaway

I woke up the other day to snow....in the end of April...and I thought to myself "I can't stand this so I'm outta here." I knew Toby had to work so I called up my friend Errin and said let's go to St. George. And that was that. I've never done this before and honestly was pretty nervous and excited at the same time. Kind of liberating...but I've never just taken the kids and gone somewhere like that by myself before. Toby really wanted me to leave Cash so he'd had someone to hang with over the weekend, and take him to his games and Errin left Dawson so it was just Errin, Me, Chloe, Elle and Tate. The ride down was a little rough. For whatever reason Tate decided to cry most of the way which was really unlike him...but made up for it by being an angel the rest of the time. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! Swimming, laying-out, eating-out, smoothies, Swig stops, shopping, more shopping, a little more shopping, talking...IT WAS PERFECT. The kids were great...Elle was a huge help. Don't know what I'd do without her. She's just my best little friend. I rewarded her with matching sunglasses and a little porcupine named prickles. She had Errin and I laughing the entire time. Grateful for my daughter. Grateful for a condo in St. George!!!! And truly grateful for my family and for great friends to be able to do this stuff with.

A Date with my BOYS

As I've stated earlier I used to have a thing for tall dark and handsome guys. These days I prefer short, fuzzy-haired blondes. These two are the best looking most hilarious duo I could ever dream of going on a date with. Toby took Elle out on a little daddy/daughter date and I wasnt about to let them have all the fun so I took these two out for a pizza date. I got so many looks that evening. I think everyone was quite jealous of my company. These two are looking more and more alike everyday. Trying to get a good picture of both of them looking/smiling was frustrating and hilarious at the same time. I got quite the variety of pictures and couldn't narrow them down...so here's to a fun night...and adorable boys.

Team Pirates!

And another season of baseball starts! Cash is a pirate this year and couldn't be more excited to begin. Tob and him have spent countless days outside practing hitting and throwing and you could tell the difference in his first game! He's one of the only kids on the team that can hit from the machine and he really has a talent for connecting the bat with the ball. He looks freaking adorable out there on the field with CHRISTENSEN 7 written across his back. And I never want to forget the way he runs from base to base swinging his arms. I'll never get sick of watching this kid play. And I'm so grateful for all the support we get in his games. There's never a game where someone isn't there to support him. We have the greatest Family EVA!!!!

TATE!!!

This baby is something special. What an addition he has been to this family! He pretty much can get anything he wants from any of us. He smiles and laughs ALL DAY. Unless I walk out of the room. Then his whole world pretty much falls apart. Which I think is ridiculously cute. He is army crawling everywhere and can get from point a to point b in no time at all. He's starting to pull up on anything he can and one of his favorite pastimes is getting on his knees pulling out every single drawer in my jewelry armoire and emptying all of my jewelry. From the time he was about 6 months old he makes a distinct whispering sound whenever we walk past the picture of Jesus in his room. He stares at it...smiles...and makes the cutest little sound. I KNOW he recognizes him and knows who he is. He's starting to wave hi and whenever I saw "want to patty-cake?" he grabs my hands to hold on to his because he can't do it himself. His little hair sticks staight up all the time and is so fuzzy and he's happiest when he's upside down. He lays his little head on my shoulder when I say give me loves and he opens his mouth whenever he's ready for a kiss. He's a great little sleeper if I'm the one who puts him down to sleep. At his 9 month appointment he weighed 15.14 lbs so he's just a little guy...but so was Cash. Unfortunately he has to have surgery next month for a hernia but it's not as serious as Cash's so I'm handling this one much better. Still scares me though. Other than that he's actually been super healthy which I'm so grateful for. Tate smiles with his eyes. And he giggles and squeals whenever Dad is wrestling with his brother and sister. He's too cute for words. These pictures say it all.

Weber State Championship Game and Grandma Wimmer

So Weber State got invited to the CIT  this year and Toby, my Dad, and Cash went to about 2 or 3 of the games. Cash loved going with the boys and having a night out with his Dad. The fact that they kept winning made us all excited and we really wanted to be to the championship game. So my Dad bought us tickets and off we went. We left a little early to visit my sweet Grandma. Honestly it was so hard to leave her once it was time. I LOVE this lady more than words could say and the only way I could walk out was to say that I would be right back after the game. The game was a little tough with Tate. He's not much for sitting still these days, but I don't mind walking around with him. He's a bundle of fun. And super cute. And adorable. And he loves me so much. Toby got a free pizza handed to him...what's new...this guy gets so many freebies. And i'm married to him. So yep...it's good. But alas, Weber lost in the last 2 seconds. Ah. It was heartbreaking. Kind of depressing. And it got late. But I couldn't break my promise to my Grandma so back we went for one more visit. Elle came to and she sure lights up when my kids are there. I know she knows we're there and wants to communicate with us but some things don't even need to be said. She's so wonderful. It was a fun memorable night:)

Easter 2013

Easter snuck up on me pretty quick this year. So much going on and then BAM. It was here. Good thing I've got such "on top of it" parents and they planned a fun Easter Egg Hunt and cookout for the kids. My kids EAT this stuff up! Even Taters got in on the action. I can't believe I even have a Taters...I love him so much it ridiculous. Anyway...he found his first Easter Egg which was beyond cute. Easter Morning the kids couldn't wait for their baskets and I had every intention of making them wait till after church and after the Easter Lesson that I prepared...but I caved, and off they ran down the stairs to search for their baskets. Didn't take long to find them and luckily they were thrilled with the selection the Easter Bunny picked out for them. Umm...their Easter outfits? To die for. I ALWAYS got a new dress for Easter and haven't been able to kick that tradition with Elle. She looks so cute in them...and somehow I was able to coordinate the three of them with very little effort. We had a wonderful lesson and I'm hoping we were really able to explain the basics of the Atonement to them. They seemed to really listen and grasp the meaning. What a huge responsibility I feel on my shoulders to teach them all the important principles of the Gospel. We're looking forward to General Conference and have some really fun things planned for the kids to keep them interested. I love my life!

St. George / Tate's First Pool

It's never to soon to take a trip back to St. George. Oh how we love that place. It's just my little HEAVEN on EARTH. Helps me get through the rough days knowing I'll be going there soon. This time was just for no reason...just a get away...and a get away it was. Hit up all the usual places and put Tate in the pool for the 1st time. No surprise he LOVED it. He screams when I take him out of the bath so he was pretty much in heaven in the pool. Already scheduled our next vacay. Can't come soon enough!
