BYU Scrimmage

This is one of those days that I look most forward to in the year. It just brings back such wonderful memories of Toby's playing days…and it's such a bonus that we get to share it with the kids. This year we opted to leave the two little ones home so we could just really focus on showing the older kids BYU, and selfishly so we could relax a bit. Toby was already down there for work so Elle and Cash drove down with me and we just met up with him there. We were a bit late to the scrimmage but got there in time for the kids to see and talk with Coach Sitake, Chad Lewis, and some others as well as for Cash to catch a 30 yard pass from Tanner Mangum the quarterback. That was pretty cool. It's also really cool to see Toby in his element talking to old friends and the new coaches. Everyone loves him and he's just so happy and fun there. I love it. After the scrimmage we walked over to the Smith Fieldhouse for the bar b que and met up with the Paynes. I love the Paynes. I love Amanda and I love where we all pick up right where we left off. I love catching up with them and laughing and just being around them. It was great. The kids took lots of pictures int he photo booth, ate lots of good, got some free gear and then we headed over to the book store where we picked out more gear but this time it wasn't free. Thanks Tob! We got ice cream from the creamery and walked around a bit and reminisced and encouraged the kids to work hard and get good grades so they could go there! I sure wish I would have tried harder in high school. I did pretty well but just not enough to get in there. Glad I could live vicariously through Toby! It was a wonderful day and such great two on two time with the older two. Already looking forward to next year.

Baseball Tourney in St. George!

Back to St. George we go! This time for Cash's baseball tournament. Last year when we did this staying in the hotel with four small children was a nightmare so we were grateful that the Kelsch's let us stay in their home. They were in Mexico so we missed them being there. We were excited that my parents and Jake came down to see Cash too! It was awesome having them. The tournament itself didn't go all that well, but we had fun swimming over at Las Palmas and eating out and just being in Sunny St. George! We watched Moana one night on the Kelsch's big screen...that was fun. And Toby, my Mom and I took Cash to the scrimmage the BYU football team was having down there and that was super fun for Toby to see his friends and introduce Cash to some of the guys. That was cute. As always it was a short trip but a good one. I'm looking forward to when we can go for longer than 3 days.

BLUISH and CO

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT over here! Ha! This is something that my friend Tara and I have been working on for a long time together. We discussed opening an online boutique almost a whole year ago and have been working on it ever since. I was hesitant in the beginning because my life is already so busy and crazy and I was trying to decide if I could even fit something like this in...but the more I thought about it and prayed about it, it felt good and I became more and more excited about it. So here we are! We went to Las Vegas in August to a big Fashion convention and picked out a bunch of stuff there.  That's the fun part. But more work goes into these kind of things that you would ever imagine. But I'm excited. We launched a few weeks ago and it's been going pretty well. We still have a TON of work to do to get where we want but we'll get there. I feel blessed to do it with such a wonderful friend that I love so much. She's amazing and we have such a great time together.

Mom's Birthday and the TWINS!!!

THE TWINS ARE HERE!!!! We are so grateful that they are here safe and sound! It was not an easy ride for Tessa but we are so glad that all is well now. They are both in the NICU but doing well. Mom's birthday was just a few days after they were born and she was up there staying over to help with the kids so we thought it was perfect timing to go up and see Tessa and the twins AND see my mom and celebrate her birthday. Those two little babies were amazing. Kezdon and Hayzlie. They were so tiny and looked so adorable in their little isolettes. Elle was able to go in with Tessa, me, Mom, and Jamie. We loved staring at their darling little faces. - We went back to Joel and Tessa's to grab the boys and kids and then wanted to head to Dinner for Mom's birthday. We got reservations at a place in Logan but when we got there it was way too expensive and nice for this bunch so we headed over to the Chili's instead. We had a great dinner and loved being with my Mom on her birthday. I love this picture with her and my Dad and the kids.

Tater Bottoms

I love Tater Bottoms. He is amazing. He had got to be the funniest little 4 year old that ever existed. The things he says just crack me up. The other day we were all eating at the table. Tate asked if he could have a bite of my tortilla, so I ripped off a piece and fed it to him. He totally bit me. I yelled out because honestly...it hurt. I looked at my finger a couple of time and just said "ow" under my breath once or twice. About ten seconds went by and Tate lowered his head and said "I guess I'm not very good at eating." (in his cutest little lisp voice.) Toby and I just busted out laughing. I hadn't laughed like that in a while. It totally caught me off guard. I assured him he was great at eating. What a funny kid. His best little friend is Stella Moysh and he LOVED playing soccer this year. I love him.

Date Night to BEAUTY and the BEAST

There's not a lot I look forward to more than date nights with this little Beauty. She is such the little conversationalist and always keeps things fresh and fun. I have been looking forward to this new movie coming out since December so as soon as we had time I was beyond excited to take Elle to it. Beauty and the Beast was always my family Disney movie growing up. I loved everything about it. Belle was obviously my favorite disney princess as well. We decided to go eat at Sizzler first, which was a lot better than I remember Sizzler being. The steak not so much but the salad bar was awesome. Then we just walked right on over to the movie theater. The movie was SO good! The actress that played Belle was just beautiful. The graphics and cinema were amazing. (there of course was a scene or two I wasn't thrilled about) but overall I was very happy with the movie. But happier about getting a night out with my best little girlfriend. Isn't her smile amazing?!

This boy...

If it isn't oatmeal or sugar spilled all over my pantry it's Captain Crunch all over my rug. "Look mom! I spilled a little right there." "oops" Really? Thanks for pointing that out buddy. Good thing he's beyond adorable.

Babysitting Kellen BOY!

We had the privilege of watching Kellen for Jamie and Jace went they went to Hawaii. Man that little boy is cute. He LOVES Tate and Kemp. And Cash and Elle for that matter. He was a pretty good little boy. He was sick the first two days. Ended up that he had an ear infection so he was kind of clingy and not as active for the first little bit. Just wanted his aunt Josie to snuggle him a lot which was fine by me. The next couple after he got antibiotics he perked up quite a bit. I don't know what Moms of this many small children all in a row do. Two is difficult enough but added at third to the group was a bit of an adventure. A lot of time they went off and played together but other times when they were tired it was a bit of a disaster. What do you do when they are all crying and wanting to be held?! I had to laugh a bit in those moments. But we were grateful to have him and love him to pieces. The reunion between the three of them when they got home was priceless. Cutest little family.

March Comings and Goings

Just some pictures of things we've been up to lately. Picnics on the family room floor, Tate's preschool field trip to the fire station, Tob and I taking Elle on a date to the Macaroni Grill, more of Tate's soccer game, snuggling in bed, and playing with balloons. Life is good. It can be really hard sometimes. It seems like there are a lot in our family right now struggling. But when I'm uploading pictures and looking at the simple things we do everyday it makes me grateful for life. The good and the bad. I love my kids. I spend the majority of my day with these two little boys that are so wonderful. They are patient with me. They just want my time and attention. I need to do better of giving it to them. I'm grateful Toby and I got some one on one time with Elle. She has so much to offer the world. She's witty, smart, fun to be around, and such a good nurturer. The boys are so lucky to have her as their big sister. Yep. Life is good.
