Preston Rodeo 2014

So in all the posts I'm sure there's a common theme of "I'm on bed rest, I'm on bed rest" and yet I'm still doing a lot of these things that I probably shouldn't be. Most of them were either while I was on modified bed rest and in between everything I really have been just down and out. It's been difficult for everyone and I feel awful about it. That's why the decision to go to Preston or not was such a big deal. And actually we had known it wouldn't work for awhile before because I was bleeding so heavily but the day it came I was really struggling knowing my kids would be missing out and we were celebrating Hadlers 4th birthday party while we were there and it's just hard for me to miss that kind of stuff. So about an hour or two before my family was leaving to go up I called my dr. and asked for permission to ride up if I promised I wouldn't go to the carnival or do any walking. The nurse called and she said it would probably be good for my emotional health and to just be careful. She was so right. I needed this half day out! I loved watching the kids at Hadlers birthday party with their ninja turtle masks on and Tessa did such a great job with his party. I died watching Tate at the parade run around yelling "Horsey and Candy" the best way he could and he caught on so fast picking up the pieces and running them back into his bag I was holding. It was so darling and put the biggest smile on my face. I was bummed I couldn't go to the carnival but I went with Tate and my mom back to Aunt Connie's and relaxed there while Toby ran around with Elle Cash taking them on rides and playing games. Once again it seems  he and Jordan were successful winning prizes for the kids and from what I understand Elle was a sweetheart giving up her prize so that Hadler could pick one out. I love my kids. The drive home was so nice just visiting with Toby the whole time and again it felt so good to get out of my bed and watch the kids be so happy. Grateful I didn't have to let a year go by without going to the Famous Preston Night Rodeo.
