Getting Ready for Christmas Over Here!!!

Just had to post these pictures for memories sake because I LOVE how my home looks at Christmas time! It is just so beautiful and peaceful and cozy and it makes me SO incredibly happy. Getting a real tree up and decorated is not easy but it is SO worth it. It's just gorgeous. Such a wonderful time of year.

Christmas Tree Hunting (Black Friday!)

The OFFICIAL Annual Christmas Tree hunt of 2018. After what happened last week, us pulling away from our turnoff, with Toby asleep behind us we made sure to all stay together! haha But Toby did forget his pants. What the heck. We got our trees, pulled the kids behind us on the sled, and had a great time. Uncle Josh helped Kemp cut down a tree, we took beautiful pictures and headed back to the church to meet up with the entire Wimmer clan. We had pancakes for the first time in YEARS instead of soup. It was a little different for us but tasted amazing. I love my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. It was another successful year.

Thanksgiving 2018!

This year was the Downs Family's year which meant our year to host! I feel bad because honestly my mom does most of the work and has to bring so much of it over here. I tried hard to divvy everything out. Jordan smoked the turkey, I did rolls and a green bean casserole, and Jamie did a fruit salad and i can't remember what else. It was a gorgeous dinner!!! Joni came but no kids or Archie. She brought the veggie tray.  We all fit pretty well:) I really like hosting at my house. I had a bit of a tough morning though, just stressing about getting everything done. And I couldn't get the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade to come on my tv because direct tv was having issues with channel 5. It was seriously driving me crazy and making me so sad. Toby had taken Cash to go play in a turkey bowl at Donn Dunns so I was a little awnry that morning but it all worked out. - We had Thanksgiving with Kathy on Wednesday, the night before. She had a beautiful table all set up. I made sweet potato casserole, rolls, and a green been casserole for that as well. It was a special treat to have Grandma June there. I was glad we took a picture on the stairs together for memory sake. -

After all of the gouging ourselves, we packed up and headed up to Logan for the annual sleepover in the hotel. We of course swam, did lots of Black Friday shopping, and watched our first Christmas movie. Honestly one of my favorite nights of the year. Its just the best.
