"I Look Great!"

So I get that the funny and cute things kids do are so much funnier and cuter to their own parents...but really Toby and I thought this was so funny. We put Elle in her new swim suit to make sure the size fit. Well she looked so cute in it I asked her if she wanted to see herself in the mirror. I thought she'd just say, "cute!" and want to hop down, but she didn't....she just stood and stared forever. Then she proceeded to turn around to check out how she looked from the back. Wow. (She must have seen Toby do that one too many times:) I was laughing so hard at how intent she was and serious about this swimsuit. Then after that long silence I said, "so Elle what do you think?" Her reply? "I look Great!" I'm glad she's not lacking any confidence at this point in her little life. :)

Purse Tag

I'm not good at these tag things but like Lindsay said it's a great excuse to clean out my purse! Really nothing terribly exciting in there. A few random things...tape measure, a giraffe, a pink car, vitamins, fruit snacks, granola bar, lip glosses, tide pen, crazy glue, diapers. Funny- it's a total mix of a diaper bag and a purse- even though I have a seperate diaper bag for Elle and one for Cash- and a church bag, and a toy bag, and a seperate purse. Why do I have so many bags? I really need to condense. Now who do I tag? Tara and Jami...only if you need to clean out your purse though;)

Disney on Ice! "Princess Wishes"

If you read my last post you knew this was coming. I've been anticipating taking Elle to this for weeks now. I owe a lot to my cousin Britney who came through in the clutch getting us 8th row tickets! (and aisle seats with plenty of leg room...thanks Brit!) So I started gearing Elle up for this a week before just telling her how excited I was and how much fun it would be and after justifying and convincing Toby to let me buy her a little Princess costume for it, I began asking her who she wanted to be. Big mistake. She begged to be Belle and I seriously went to 3 different Targets and 2 Walmarts looking for it. Sold out. The night before I decided Snow White would be a good 2nd place choice and bought that dress. Well the morning of that didn't go over so well. Those of you who saw her could vouge ( how do you spell that?) for me. She cried all morning that she didn't want to be Snow White she wanted to be Belle. It was a pretty dramatic scene. It took a lot of convincing that Snow White was the "coolest", and although she didn't buy that her tears turned into a smile when she finally put the dress on and she realized how cute she looked. It was so cute -while we were there watching the show she said she was too cold to take her jacket off but when Snow White came out on the ice she unzipped that jacket as fast as she could. Cash was a trooper and did so well through the whole show. You can see by these pictures how much he enjoyed it. Toby would be proud. The whole thing was just fun and such a great memory to share with my little princess. I love you Elle.

An "Enchanted" Evening

Happy Birthday Mom! Wow what an amazing mother and grandmother and what a fun night we had. Birthday's were always a big deal at my house growing up and my mom always had a theme for us and made the night so special so we wanted to repay her. My mom loved the movie "Enchanted" so my brother pulled some strings and got a copy of the movie early so we were able to surprise her with an "Enchanted" evening. We got cafe rio salads for everyone (one of my mom's favorites) and had chocolate brownies, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. My Dad was so cute and got all the girls (or princesses rather) in the family little tiara's to wear which of course Elle and Brooklyn loved. We got my mom a new chandelier to go above her kitchen table along with a few other little things. We played games and then topped the night off by watching her show. For any of you who have not seen it....SEE IT! I thought it was absolutley adorable...and Toby did too:) So cute. The icing on the cake was tickets to Disney on Ice "Princess" Wishes for all the girls! I'm so excited about it I feel like a kid again. That will be a guaranteed post Friday night. Happy Birthday again mom! p.s. notice the picture of Elle in tears at such a happy occasion? She isn't so fond of sharing her grandma:)

RASCAL FLATTS!

Wow! What a concert. I think I've officially converted Toby to some country music. My Dad bought my entire family tickets to this forever ago but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to go since Cash doesn't take a bottle, or a binki for that matter. At the last minute my Dad called my Aunt and she drove all the way down from Ogden and watched the kids for us! It was such a late night for her but we appreciated it so much! We left early cause I'm a stress case and didn't want to be away from him too long but right as we were getting ready to leave they played my favorite song "The Broken Road" so I was completely satisified. Thanks Dad for a fun night out and thanks Joni for being such a great Aunt!
