Jake and Emily's 70's Party!

So this was one of THE BEST NIGHTS I've had in my adult life thus far. hahahah It really was! Jake and Emily Shoff both turned 40 and it was their anniversary so they threw this huge party at Noah's reception center. It was 70's theme and we were all supposed to come dressed for the party. They served an incredible dinner, played the best music all night, and had prizes for best costumes etc. WE HAD A BLAST!!! Laughed all night, danced our hearts out, and ate awesome food. Toby's costume was HILARIOUS. He even went out and found some women's platforms that he spray painted and wore than made him like half a foot taller and absolutely killed his feet. But it was well worth it. We won the best costume prize and won movies passes and free movie popcorn buckets and drinks for a year. It really was such a fun and memorable night with friends just letting loose and acting like kids again. So glad we have all of these fun pictures to remind us:)

Halloween Activities and Halloween Itself!

We sure tried to fit it all in this October! I forget what a busy month it is. There's always something to do or cross off the October bucket list. We did Spider Cookies and the haunted hallows at grandma and grandpas, I took the boys to Gardner Village to see the witches and do all the activities there, we went to a party at Amy and Dustin's, we went to the haunted ski lift at Sundance, we took the older kids to Frightmares at Lagoon, and then had our annual Halloween Party at the cottage too. It was also filled with lots of class parties, parades, ward parties, and getting treats to share in class, and prepping for costumes. The kids were all so cute with what they picked out. Elle was a mime, Cash was Star Lord, Tate was Lego Nexo Knight, and Kemp was Chase from Paw patrol. My dad rode his golf cart over to our house and let Toby take the kids trick or treating on it which was really fun. I made scones and mom brought over lots of food and we had a fun halloween night here:)

Spending Time with Grandma June

Any day with Grandma June is a good day! We can't believe she has never seen the Greatest Showman so we promised her we'd come down and bring it and watch it with her! She made sure that she had "dinner reservations" for us with her little assisted living homes cafeteria..so we ate with her down there first. So cute. Then she rented the little community family room and we all watched a movie together in there. I hope she caught the gist of the movie and enjoyed it as much as we do. I think she did. She sure is a special lady. The kids all adore her...and so do Tob and I.

Island Park 2018

Island Park 2018 in the books! Another fun year of staying in the cabin, driving around seeing the animals, and a little bit of fishing. I guess if I'm being honest, we didn't see any bears this year, we saw wolves from a distance, and then the usual buffalo, deer, and a coyote. And we fished a little but the rivers were low and we didn't catch a thing. But the kids love it there, created a darling hut in the backer, and we ate at Canyon Street Grill and walked the shops, and went to the IMAX movie theater where we watched Little Foot and Toby fell up the stairs with his drinks and popcorn in hand. Oh dear. We stayed in the smaller cabin this year because not everyone could make it, which was quite rough so when we do it again we need to make sure we get the bigger cabin. Other than that sure love the memories my kiddos are making up in Yellowstone like I did as a little girl.
