June's a Wrap

Okay so for all of you who live in the northern Utah region - you know that it feels like summer is going to be over before it even got here. I can't believe June is already over and I can count the days it was warm enough to go swimming on one hand. That may be exaggerating but not really. I haven't posted for awhile because quite frankly we haven't had a whole lot going on. I wish I could say it's been because we were on an exotic cruise off the coast of Spain but nope. We've just been home. Not that that's bad:)We've been filling our days with fun. Our neighborhood did a "movie in the park" night and it was great! Toby got to pick the movie and he made an excellent choice in "Enchanted." It was so fun getting our blankets and pillows out and being with great friends. Good times. I also got the kids pictures taken this weekend. I had one of those free 8X10's coupons that expired soon so I told Toby I was taking them for pictures but not to worry.."I'm not spending a dime." Well I was telling the truth cause $150 later here I am. I've never spent money on pictures like that before but we couldn't help it after seeing the finish products. I say "WE" because Toby was totally there and was also suckered into buying the package not by the cunning salewoman but by our kids cute little faces smiling at us. Can't wait to post those. Here are just some random pictures of us in the month of June. One of Elle and Dad wearing matching clothes, one of Elle and mom wearing matching clothes, some at the movie in the park, and one of Elle and her goose egg from the splash park that totally doesn't do it justice. Such a sad story for another time. Also thanks to the Jones' for hosting a fantastic bar-b-que this weekend. You guys are great. AND happy birthday to Jordan, Lindsay, Joelle, Errin, Michelle, and I know I missed someone else. Can't wait for JULY!

"So you think you can Dance?!"

Elle sure has some sweet moves! She picked em up from Toby. She had her first little dance recital today and we were so proud of her. She's the youngest and smallest in her class but she did so well and looked so adorable up there. They danced to Achy Breaky Heart with little blue and yellow cowgirl dresses. Seriously just picturing the whole thing is putting a smile on my face. I'm mad at myself for not taking some video on my digital camera to put on here. I took some with my video camera. I wonder if I can make that work? Anyway, I asked her if she was nervous being up in front of all those people and she said, "No I wasn't scared OR nervous. I was just nice." I'm glad about that. When my mom told her how good she was and playfully asked her if she wanted to keep dancing Elle's reply was, "Well...I certainly can!" She's hilarious. Thanks to everyone for coming and supporting our little dancing queen. Brooklyn was so fun to watch in the audience dancing, shaking, and clapping for Elle..and then after ran up to her with flowers. Such cute cousins. Can't wait till they're dancing together.
