SEATTLE TRIP!!!!

Ever since we heard that BYU was going to be playing Washington State I knew that I wanted to make a trip out there and go to the away game. Like 2 years earlier! So when it started to sneak up on us I started to look for decent plane tickets. Since it's Jamie's favorite place on the planet she knew she wanted to go too. Toby and Jace were on board and the good tickets came around so we snagged them up and started planning our mini getaway. Toby's friend Mike owns a hotel there and hooked us up with an awesome couple of rooms. Jamie and Jace had been there before so they knew exactly where we needed to go and what to do. We weren't there very long so we had to pack it all in. The first morning we went whale watching on the Pudget Sound. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE!!! The scenery was unreal. I felt like I was in Alaska or something! Guess I was close. More close to Canada really. But it was like nothing I had ever seen before.  Gorgeous light houses, sail boats, pine trees. And then there were the whales. For awhile they were off in the distance but after awhile I was on the top side of the boat and when I looked over there were the Orcs swimming right by us! I wanted to scream. It was so incredibly beautiful! Toby loved it too. After we ate at a little place right there on the beach. Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the game. On the way home we stopped by the house that Kathy grew up in. It was absolutely beautiful as you can see. We took some pictures then ran back to get ready. We were hoping to get to the Stadium and campus early enough to walk around and explore but that didn't happen. The game...was beyond terrible. BYU played awful, we looked awful, we left early. Couldn't even stand being there. It was rough. But we made it better by getting some super good sushi for take out and went back to the hotel to eat it on the bed and watch a movie. Perfect.  The next morning we woke up early and went to the closest Church. We went to Sacrament and then left to go on a boat ride out to this island called Blake Island where Tillicum Village is. What a place! As soon as we walked off the boat they gave us these cups full of the best clams in warm broth. Then we go sit down for this huge salmon buffet with some of the best food I've had in a while. They also put on a native american show. It was fun. We explored the island for a bit then headed back to Seattle. Once we got there we walked to the Public Marketplace which I had seen pictures of for years but never been too. It was fun to watch them throw fish, see the fresh flowers, the big sign, and the first Starbucks. We took pictures at the gum wall, the ferris wheel, and the space needle. It was so good spending so much time with Jamie and Jace. I loved being with them. We just laughed and talked and ate and it really was so wonderful. Our plane left pretty early the next morning so we couldn't do much more. I would have loved to have a couple of more days to see the troll under the bridge and a few other things but that will have to wait till next time. My goodness what a wonderful place. I loved it. Seeing the Orcas in the wild had to be my favorite thing. Pretty amazing and all ready looking forward to going back!

Flag Football

This has been the funnest year of flag football!!! It was Tate's first year and he just did awesome!!! He scored a few super cool touchdowns and was just the cutest little football player I've ever seen. Cash was awesome too. He played quarterback and threw so many incredible passes throughout the season. He was just incredible. Toby coached both teams and did so great as well. I love watching my boys do what they love. Both ended the seasons undefeated. Go RAIDERS!!!

Salt Lake County Fair

This was a first for us! Took the whole family and headed down to the Salt Lake County Fair! That place could not be more perfect for people watching. My goodness. We started by letting cash try this challenge to hang on the bar for 100 seconds. Definitely harder than it looks. We rode rides, went down the big yellow slide, watched the pig races, played carni games, and watched the high divers! Cash got to do the bouncy thing where he can try all sorts of flips. It was a super fun day. Love making memories with this little crew of mine. Aren't they cute?!
