Halloween 2021

Yet another successful Halloween in the books. Trick or treating and scones and enchiladas at our house after. We were glad the Ashby’s could come over and join us. Grandpa took the kids around in the bronco but they were kind of light weights this year. Also can you even stand Tate and Kemp’s costume? I’ve never seen a cuter Maverick and Goose. Sure they’ve never seen the movie…but they knew they were fighter pilots and that spells COOL.

Halloween Activities!

Got to fit in all the traditions we can. Peterson’s Farm pumpkin patch, Gardner Village, and jumping in the leaves at grandpa and grandmas, as well as spider cookies and Carmel apples  at Uncle Josh’s house.

Raiders Suite!

So this was pretty crazy. Our neighbor Andy about a week or so before our trip asked Toby for his and mines birthdays and full names. Turns out he was booking us airline tickets to go to the Raiders/Eagles game! Only problem was we got in from our trip to Mexico at like midnight and had to leave to the airport for our flight to Vegas at 6 am! That is quite the turn around but we totally made it happen and let me tell you I am so glad we did! It ended up being the most incredible day. Andy and his company spoiled us rotten!!!! We got to our hotel, checked our bags and basically headed to the stadium. We got there and got to go down to the place where the x raiders hang out and eat our hearts out. Then Andy took us up to our “suite” seats where again we could basically eat whatever we wanted. Steak, lobster, shrimp, and all the sides and drinks we could want. And then when we were done with that we could have just about any snack, treat, or candy or dessert you could think of. They had everything. It was crazy really and I seriously felt guilty. Like it was just too much but don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it at the same time. It was an incredible experience and probably once in a life time. Oh and I missed one of the best parts. Andy took us downstairs to the main Raiders store before the game and let us pick out anything we wanted. ANYTHING. It was crazy! I got a cute sweatshirt AND a jacket that I had NO idea how expensive it was but I was so dang excited. Tob got a t shirt or two but then after the game we went back down and he told us to get more. Like what?! We got something for Elle and Cash and Tob got a hat. It was just nuts. The game was awesome and we loved every minute. After we went back to our hotel and Andy gave us our room key and told us to meet at dinner in an hour. So we headed up to our room. Let me rephrase that…our Pent House. Yep. The room was bigger than our first apartment. A TV came out of the foot of our bed. We had 2 toilets. It was insane. Like I said spoiled. Then we headed to dinner and I had never been to a finer restaurant. I was still so stuffed from the game. The steaks were like $70 or $80 bucks each. It was crazy. To say we felt spoiled was an understatement. Can’t believe people live that way. It was a fun day with fun people and one we won’t ever forget!

Last Day in Mexico

This was a hard trip to say goodbye to. We had the best time together swimming, going down the slide, jumping off the ledge, eating eating and eating, and just hanging out together. It was wonderful. The resort was really great for families. Our favorite restaurant was the main buffet. We tried the nice Mexican restaurant our last night but honestly I preferred the buffet. The beach was okay. There are definitely better beaches. But we still enjoyed walking on the sand and playing in the waves a bit. I love my kids. I love my husband. I loved having two rooms and having enough space for all of us. We weren’t ready to head home but our covid tests came back negative so we were given the green light. :) Hoping it won’t be too long till we’re back in Cancun Mexico!
