The next day we couldn’t decide whether to just spend another day at the pool or whether to go on one more little outing to an island that Toby and I had been to and really loved…Isla Mujeres. They have the coolest little shops for souvenirs and blankets and also had the prettiest water I’ve ever seen..so we opted to go check it out. The boat ride there was beautiful and the water was seriously the most gorgeous aqua color ever. We rented a big golf cart and rode it all around the island checking out the coolest things. We went to the south tip and walked out to these ancient ruins where we saw these ginormous iguanas and walked down the paths to the coolest rock formations with water all around us. It was incredible. Elle loved it there. We also saw the coolest little cemetery and the prettiest place to snorkel and then went out to the north beach. Last of all we shopped around and let the kids all pick out some fun souvenirs and I got a bunch of Mexican blankets. Perfect day. Then we headed back to the resort for more swimming and eating.
