The first day in Cancun we just swam and ate and played and repeated all day long. It was absolutely perfect. We could have just stayed at the resort the entire time but we did plan one excursion. It was called Selvatica and it was INCREDIBLE. It included Zip Lining and Swimming in a Cenote. The zip lining was so dang fun. They had a bunch of different lines set up including one where you go more like a roller coaster. The coolest thing was that the entire group we were in were just adults. No kids. So it was so awesome that everyone was cheering for our kids the whole time. The scary part was that the way that they did it was that Toby and I and Elle and Cash had to go first and then they sent Tate and Kemp. It was kind of scary going forward without them and then just having to have them send them. I was so worried that they would be too scared but I was so proud of them…they did it and they loved it!
The next part was the swimming in the cenote. The ride there was bumpy and fun and then it was so beautiful once we got there. So tropical and isolated and just awesome. There was a platform where we people jumped from and once again everyone was so impressed and cheered so much for our kids! Toby dove in, Cash dove in, and then it was Tate’s turn and he totally wanted to dive too. Mom wouldn’t let him:) But he jumped and so did Kemp and I and Elle. It was so thrilling and fun. They also had a rope swing and we all loved trying it out.
A highlight was our host..his name was Hugo. The kids all took a real liking to him. He was so fun and outgoing and really spoiled our kids. We ate a fun lunch and got pictures and really enjoyed every second of our time at Selvatica. It was the perfect excursion for our family!!!
