Memorial Day / Kellen’s Birthday Party

Monday we had the day off for Memorial Day so we used it to celebrate Kellen boy’s birthday and have a big swim party! We had a great time being together and we are getting a ton of use of our pool. I feel lucky to have family so close to get together often and enjoy days off like this. Good times.

Memorial Day 2020

This is such a special day to me. I’d be so sad to miss driving around on Sundays visiting our loved ones graves and paying our respect to them. It’s been a tradition that truly means the WORLD to me. We usually go on the Sunday before Memorial Day. This year we drove all the way up to Smithfield where Toby’s grandparents on Todd’s side are buried. We visited Grandpa Ned and Grandma June and enjoyed telling a few stories about them. Then on the way home we made an impromptu stop at Joels and Tessa’s which I believe their kids absolutely loved and we did too. It was fun to see their beautiful home and backyard and spend time with them. Then we went on to Willard where we saw Grandma Doris, Grandpa Leo, Aunt Rene and Uncle Basil and My great grandparents grave, Eliza whom I was named after. I always love sitting there and telling the kids stories of them. And then lastly to Ogden to visit Grandpa and Grandma Wimmer and my other great grandparents. They are two incredibly special people to me. I love them so much. I miss them so much it hurts sometimes but I know they are watching over me and my family. We also visited Grandpa Todd the day before. It just wouldn’t be Memorial Day without these visits and recalling all of our memories. I love that my children and husband are so willing to be in the car for such a long day. Sure means a lot to me.

The POOL is DONE!!!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! Danny told us 8-10 weeks and here we are about 56 weeks later. But she’s done. We have a pool in our backyard and it is unreal. I just am so happy. So nervous but so happy. I can’t wait for the memories we are going to make out there. It’s just so beautiful too. We are going to have to add furniture and other things a little at a time but for now I’m on cloud 9 and we are just beyond thrilled. Here’s to a really really really fun SUMMER!!!

Tate’s Cast Off, Pool Liner, Tate’s Presentation, and More Crafts!

Big things happening over here! Tate got his cast off! Whoo Whoo! And just in time for our pool to almost be done! We got the liner in! None of us can even believe it. We are so dang excited. Also got the cutest picture of little Tater’s doing his presentation through zoom to his entire class on SHARKS. It was so dang cute. He was so nervous but I think his church talks got him prepared for it and he did such a good job. I was so proud of him. And then more and more crafts. Got to keep these cuties occupied as much as I can. Plus they love them. Just living our best quarantine life over here. :)

Sunday PICS

From our first Sunday of At Home Church I thought it would be fun to take a picture to be able to keep that memory. Who would have known how many Sunday pictures that would turn out to be. Sunday after Sunday after Sunday. But you know what. I can’t even tell you how much I am loving having Sacrament meeting in my own home. It’s incredible. It’s something that even my parents have never done in their lifetime. What a time we are living in! What a testament it is to me of our Prophets ability to know what the Church needs well before we do. Just a little over a year ago he implemented the Come Follow Me program where we teach our families and study individually the gospel of Jesus Christ. Fast forward to now and here we are knowing exactly what we are studying and what we need to teach our children. It’s just amazing. Toby has been blessing the Sacrament, Cash is passing it, and we’re each taking turns giving talks. Toby has been so cute making a program for us with prayers, songs, talks, conference talks and what we are doing for Sunday School. Honestly it’s been perfect. I know it won’t last forever but while it is I am going to soak up every minute of this sacred time with my family.

MOTHER’S DAY

I just love Mother’s Day. It’s great to feel so spoiled by everyone haha. Breakfast in bed, no chores, everyone drawing me pictures and giving me lots of hugs. Toby had them each give a talk in our home church and they made me cry. Watching each one of them standing up there...I’m so proud of them. Toby made us food and we went out and visited both Kathy and my Mom. I was blessed with the best example and the most wonderful Mother in the world. If I could be half the mother to my children I’d feel good about myself. Wish every day could be Mother’s Day. :)
