Halloween Night!

Halloween Night at the Christensen Home. Tons of yummy food and scones and lots of Candy everywhere.  Actually that's not accurate I didn't buy enough this year so I had to steal from the kids bag but it still felt like a plethora. I had Eleven from Stranger Things, a boxer, Dustin from Stranger things, and the hulk. Such cute kids. Not as many kids trick or treating this year...I mean still a lot but just not as many as usual. Ended the night with watching Charlie Brown's Halloween.

Island Park 2019

Spent a wonderful 4 days up in Island Park in the SNOW! We spent the first night in a hotel in Yellowstone and then moved over to the BIG huckleberry cabin in Island Park! It was just awesome. We had the big bedroom in the basement and we loved it. Lots of room for all the kiddos too run around. We didn't go on our usual adventures through Mammoth and Lamar but we did go on a new one to see some incredible hot springs/ geysers AND Yellowstones Grand Canyon..which there are just no words for. It was absolutely breathtaking. Scary as all get out but just insanely gorgeous. It was fun to do more sight seeing this time around. We also had the funnest night of karaoke and dancing. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. We all got in on that action and it was so fun. We watched Phantom of the Opera, football, hot tubbed, built our forts, fished, and went to church on Sunday at the cutest little church. We also ate at our favorite little Mexican restaurant twice and then one night we went into Yellowstone and found a really good Pizza place we all went in and ate at. The last day we were going to go back into the park to look for more animals because we really didn't see a lot this trip and we thought we'd go into Old Faithful but when we got to the entrance it was closed because of snow and the weather. So back to the Cabin we went which definitely was not a bad thing.:) It was such a great trip with the Downs Fam. Sidenote- It's kind of a long story but I'll shorten it for space. We ran out of gas on the way home. Don't ask how we managed to do that...or do ask.. or ask toby haha but we did and I couldn't help but just laugh. It was scary being on the side of I15 so I made all the kids get out and stand in the field which they didn't love because it was freezing. Low and behold 20 minutes or so later and there goes Grandpa and Grandma and Jake driving by us and they gave us the funniest look. They didn't know we were there and I honestly couldn't stop laughing. How funny we must have looked! Toby had called Jace and they stopped at a gas station to get us gas...so grateful they were behind us. Then we all got back in the car and we were on our merry way. Make for a great story and good memories! hahaha

Petersen's Pumpkin Farm

Made it to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins but didn't get them carved. We just got them painted. Which was easier and the kids all seemed to enjoy it. Petersen's Pumpkin patch was fun...lots of little random activities, slides, and swings. The kids really seem to love searching for the best most perfect pumpkin....makes for a fun family night.
