Christmas Break and New Years Eve

The week after Christmas is always so great! We don't know what day it is or what we're doing but we're relaxing, eating lots of left overs, and just playing with toys and taking it easy recovering from the Season! We went on walks around the lake, our first one with TWO dogs, we went to dinner at Tsunami the kids and ours favorite, we watched lots of movies, went to the last Star Wars movie, watched Cash make the game winning basket at his game, and then spent New Years Eve with some friends at Long Horn Steak house. After we went home and got all of our kids and headed over to the church to let them play in the gym while we had game night. Lots of laughs and fun. It was our first New Years Eve that Elle wasn't with us. She went to her first Region Dance and although she was nervous she had lots of fun. Toby and Kemp took a little fall at the end of the night thus the tear on the couch but he recovered quickly. Can't believe it is 2020. What in the world?! Praying for a great year, good health, lots of improving and accomplishing goals we have set. Looking back on this year we have so very much to be grateful for!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY!

Why it's Christmas Day! We woke up to the kids laughing and talking so Toby and I got ready and headed upstairs. It's just the best to feel the excitement from our kids. We always start with a prayer and with each of us writing our gift to the Savior this year. Then the kiddos line up from youngest to oldest and head downstairs! Honestly it wasn't a big Christmas this year. In fact it was probably our smallest but we had been on so many fun trips and the kids have already gotten their main gifts. But Santa still found us and the kids couldn't have been happier. They opened presents and then ate their breakfast boxes from Grandma. Then we went to Grandma Kathy's for brunch and more Christmas Presents and singing at the piano. There was the most beautiful snowfall in Alpine. Just perfect. Then we headed to the cottage and opened more presents and ate yummy food and played our white elephant game. Going to be honest the night ended a little rough when Jamie let us know that they weren't going to be keeping Luna after all. It's a very long story but we thought they were taking her and it kind of through us for a loop and it had made the whole holiday season kind of stressful figuring out what we were going to do with the dog and we thought we had the situation worked out and then all at once it wasn't. But it's just a dog and we love her so at this point we're really contemplating keeping her and we would be just fine with that if we could manage it. What another great Christmas present right?! Christmas 2019 was full of lots of fun and making memories. Times of it were a little rough and lots of work but overall I was left feeling very grateful for a loving family and a loving Savior and Heavenly Father who loves us and who I know is watching over us daily.
