This is a tradition that we have done for years. Drive up through the Alpine Loop and stop at Sundance for suckers and hot chocolate. Only problem is I feel like half of Utah decided to make it a tradition for them too now. It is so busy in the fall. We went up through American Fork canyon and we were at a stand still with a sign that said 1 hour wait. What?! Just to drive through?! So we flipped around and drove through Provo Canyon. It was a chilly night but it was fun being together and throwing the football around. Didn't get there till kind of dark so we didn't get to gather a lot of leaves but we kept the tradition alive and we'll try again next year.
