Elle's First Dance Competition!!!!

My GIRL is a dancing Queen! Really she did so great at her first competition and I couldn't be more proud. The make-up is a little much for me to get used to but.....that aside.....it was so much!!! She has worked so hard this season and has learned both her back and front walk-overs and is working on her back-hand springs now. She almost has the splits too. Couldn't be more proud. The competition was exciting and although she was nervous she smiled the whole time and her whole team did so great. Sure there will be many more days of sitting in hot sweaty gym watching routine after routine. But I wouldn't give that up for anything. Not for a chance to see my girl in action:)

St. Patty's Day 2013

Have to be honest...this St. Patricks day was a little rough for the Christensen clan. Mom, meaning myself, came down with a stomach bug and it kind of put all of our lives on hold. Don't get me wrong...Toby did a fantastic job of running things...but with Cash having the flu, Tate getting it a little, and Elle (that's another story right there) all of our green traditions didn't quite happen the way I was hoping they would. Once again Grandma and Grandpa Downs came to the rescue and brought us meals as well as convinced our leprachaun Steve he could still come to a sick household. Somehow I managed the green pancakes and smoothies and our day wasn't a total bomb. Here's to a more healthy St. Patty's Day 2014.

Grandma Debbie's Birthday!

Happy Happy Birthday Grandma Deb!!! Party at our house with all the Downs'! We enjoyed strawberry shortcake, and presents, and played the five second game again. Oh my gosh this game is so hilarious. My dad's answers had us rolling. What a crack up! We love our Mom so much. Seriously I've said this a 100 x's and I'll say it a 100 more. She is the most UNSELFISH lady I have ever known in my life. EVERYTHING she does is for some else. We can rarely get her to do anything for herself. She is my hero. Comes to my rescue constantly. Brought my family two meals when I had the 24 hour flu. That's just who she is. I'll be successful in my life if I become half the lady she is. LOVE you MOM!

Cousin time!!!

The Christensens came!!!! We felt so lucky to have them come down for a weekend to stay with us. Watching our kids play together really does my heart good. Especially Cash and Ayson. Those two would be the best of buddies if only we could live closer. Sigh. Maybe someday. They would be little partners in crime. We enjoyed taking them to Scheels and walking around, riding the ferris wheel, playing the sports games, and bowling. Only negative of that night is poor Janie got a stomach bug. We missed having her there but luckily that was a one night thing and she was back and at em the next day. Loved this picture we caught of all the kids on the bed. Priceless. Todd Kath and Teren were able to join all of us at church and then Janie and I made a dinner and we were able to have a nice sit down meal together. We really loved having everyone together in our home. NEEDS to happen MORE!
