St George Get Away with the Ashbys

We were just missing summer and the warm sun so much and needed a break from the mundane so i talked Toby into taking us to St. George for the weekend. I was talking to Tara on the phone at one point and mentioned they should come with us. It took a little bit of convincing but she decided to bring her family and come down with us and we were so glad they did! We had such a fun weekend down there together!!! The condo we stayed at, the Lofts at Las Palmas, was seriously made for our families. Two Master bedrooms, Elle had her own bedroom, and then the bunk room was huge! And had the perfect amount of beds for our 6 boys. It's like it was made for our 2 families. We went to a few fun restaurants, got lots of take-out, swam our hearts out, watched movies, went shopping, and played lots of tennis. It was honestly perfect. Friday night we took all of our kids over to the Kelsch's to hang out and we went with Cam and Michelle and Tara and Trav to Anasazi grill. That was fun to get our friends together like that and all hang out. Oh and  My parents were down there with their friends so we totally surprised them that we were there. We met up with them on Sunday to go to church then we all went to the dinosaur park after. We definitely need to do quick weekend getaways like that more often because it was so fun and refreshing. Lots of laughs and always a good time when we're with the Ashbys. 

September Comings and Goings

More pictures of things I always want to remember. Toby coming home from a work trip. Nights out on our new patio with new lights, the party we hosted for the Cowart family, more time out moments for the little boys haha, dates with my little budy Kemp, and our new cousin and niece Grace! Life sure keeps us busy but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Elle's First Tennis Season!

I was so dang proud of Elle for her first Tennis season at Herriman High! It doesn't last very long...it's only like 2 1/2 months long but she worked so hard and went to practice every single day. She had to miss a lot of school for all of  her matches and had a lot of makeup work to do but she dedicated herself to it and got it done. Very proud of her. She also did awesome in her matches! Some she won some she didn't but she worked hard and got better and better as time went on. More confident too which was huge for her! She got to know a lot of the girls well and made some friends. Hoping for even more next year. Congratulations Elle! We're so so proud of you!

Silver Lake for the Birthdays

Had another wonderful celebration up at Silver Lake for all of the August and September Downs birthdays! One thing it tells me when this party rolls around is that summer is really over and it's time to get ready for fall. It is COLD up there! It even started to rain a little when we first got there but luckily it cleared up and we were still able to have our little picnic. When we were done eating when went on a walk all around the whole lake. Dad and Mom stayed behind but everyone else went and it was so nice to be up in the fresh air and the mountains. I always love the pictures I capture up there. There were some good ones:)
