High School Girls Scottsdale Trip!

I've gone to Scottsdale a few times with Tara and Kat but haven't had a get away with my high school girlfriends in quite a while so we planned a quick getaway and it happened to be back at Scottsdale:) I felt a little guilty leaving the family again so soon but luckily we were only gone for 2 nights so it went by pretty quick. Again just lots of relaxing by the pool, eating at fun restaurants, and of course some shopping. Can't forget Joelle spilling 3 drinks at the Sugar Bowl ice cream shop and us laughing so hard we couldn't hardly breathe. I've been so blessed in the friends department. Sure love these girls. 

 

Tate Gives Kemp a Lego Set

Just another one of those moments I didn't want to forget. Tate heard a lesson in Sacrament where a little boy didn't some really nice for his little sister and it made him feel good inside. Well the next day Tate starts talking about how he wants to do something nice for his little brother like "max" at church did for his sister and had the idea to buy him a lego set. How do I say no to that? I had him do a chore or two to earn money for the lego set that ran him to target to pick it for Kemp. Gosh it was so darn cute to see the two of them and hug and to see Tate get so excited to make Kemp so happy. Of course he reminded us the rest of the night what he had done and kept asking us if we thought it was nice. We assured him we did. Cutest brothers in the whole wide world. 

 

Jurassic Quest

As soon as I saw this advertised I knew I had to get tickets. Tate is obsessed with Dinosaurs and I thought Kemp and Cash would think it was pretty cool too. And Elle likes seeing her brothers happy. So we loaded the kiddos in the car and told them we were going on a little surprise drive. When Tate saw the first large dinosaur he was freaked out which is exactly what I was hoping for. The kids thought it was such a cool experience and driving through was super cool. We ended the evening and a little ice cream truck and had the best cereal ice cream. Fun night with my super awesome family. 

 

My Broken Vase

 Just a little moment I never want to forget. I came walking out to my kitchen to see Tate on the floor looking up at me with his big brown eyes and my vase in front of him broken. He had the scotch tape out and he was working furiously to put it back together. I could see the fear in his eyes that moms going to get upset. Because I have so many times in the past with things like this. But this time I kept my cool. I bent down and gave him hug and told him how great he was doing and that it looked nice pieced together and offered my help. There's got to be a lesson in there somewhere. I've left my vase on my living room shelf all taped together with scotch tape as a sweet reminder of this experience. He so badly was doing his best to put it all back together. I sure love that little boy. 

Utah State Capital

Every year I miss the blossoms up at the Capital and I was determined to see them this year. I knew Elle would love them. So Sunday afternoon we left the boys and drove up to Salt Lake. It was a beautiful day and although it was crowded it worth the beautiful cherry blossoms and the feeling of walking around nature with my daughter. It was fun to just visit with her and take pictures. So lucky I have my girl. 

 

April Comings and Goings

So many fun days in April! Legos, online school still going strong, going to the movie theater, football games, good looking boys, Elle's new Jordans, and zooming in to Dad's lesson on Zoom. Look at his cute big face hahah!
