Trip to the Kelsch's

 Got to head down to one of our most favorite places on the planet. The Kelsch’s. Elle couldn’t make it this time but it was a quick trip so we just snuck down for a day or two. We were so excited to get to go out on the boat. Being out on the water with the Kelsch’s is about as perfect as it gets. We’re all smiling from ear to ear the entire time. My boys each got to wave surf a bit and they were so patient helping them get up. Trey and Kade are naturals out there and it is incredible to watch them do their thing. We loved it. I’m always so grateful to get to be around Michelle and learn all I can from her. She amazes me. We got to go shopping and get yummy food and it was just a perfect quick weekend. 

Father's Day 2021

 Happy Father’s Day to the guy who makes our world go round. Seriously I don’t know what we’d do without him. He’s our comedian, our spiritual leader, our car pooler, our couch, or therapist, our door dasher, our homework doer, and I could list a million other things. He keeps things positive and fun around here. Never a dull moment when Toby is here. The only thing that just might be better than having him as a husband would be my kids having him as a dad. Maybe. Because he’s a pretty dang amazing husband. We love you Toby. Happy Father’s Day!

Summer Fun

 Always trying to fit in as much as we can. Swimming at Tiani’s, and our house haha, lots of walks to the temple or the lake, sleepovers on the couch, and late night star gazing outside. We were so excited to have the Kelsch’s stop by for dinner and some swimming. We never get them at our house so anytime we do it is such a treat. We talked and laughed and enjoy a perfect summer day. 

Hike to the Suspension Bridge with Ashby's

One of the first things that I think about when summer starts is about all the hikes I want to go on! It’s just one of my favorite things to do and really puts me in my element. I want to get better at it and go out there and explore even more. Utah is so beautiful and has so many I haven’t even skimmed the surface. Tara and her boys hadn’t been to the suspension bridge yet so we had to take them on this hike. It’s pretty mellow and perfect for a first summer hike. The boys always have so much fun and Tara and I of course talk and laugh the whole time. It was the perfect morning!

Tate's Golden Birthday!

 Nine years old of the Ninth of June! I was so excited to celebrate Tate’s Golden Birthday! I’ve never done that for one of my kids yet because I didn’t know what that was back when Elle turned 6. Or when Kemp turned 3. Haha. I really enjoy surprising my kids on their birthdays but Tate is a hard one to surprise because he can’t wait and he always asks a thousand questions. Joel and Tessa had told me about this cool place in Layton that I just knew Tate would love. It’s an interactive aquarium called Sea Quest. They have a massive indoor tank with mini sharks and manta rays and other creatures. They have a little monkey type animal that you can get in the cage with, and birds you can get in the cage with and feed and lots of other things. We had so much fun surprising him and taking him to this place. He got to feed animals and we took him around to everything and then when we got to the tank and told him he got to go in he freaked out both excited and scared! He was so cute! Jamie and her kids were there and they all loved it so much. They were a little nervous at first but once they got used to it a bit they had an amazing time. Cutest pictures right?! Then he got to get in the cage with the little monkey and it climbed all over him and they thought that was just the best. We all thought it was the coolest place. At the end we picked out a few stuffed animals for his birthday and he was so happy. I bet he told me 28 times that it was the best day of his life and his favorite birthday ever. It made me so happy. After we went to a food court and got yummy food and ice cream. We opened presents later and had cake and ice cream and we were so happy to celebrate out amazing incredible unique and awesome NINE year old boy. He brings so much light and humor and happiness into our home and we wouldn’t even be close to whole without him.
