Christmas 2009 Part 1
I LOVE the month of December!
Highlights:
1. Wimmer Christmas Party- almost didn't make it because of the snow but we trudged on and it was SO worth it. Loved seeing the kids see Santa. Elle couldn't stop talking about it
2. Winder Dairy Farm and Christmas street. Santa wasn't at Winder dairy this year but happenned to be at Christmas street for the first time. The kids were going nuts! Right as we pulled up Elle called Grandpa who was a couple of cars in front of us and said, "Grandpa we're about to see the most beautiful houses! You've got to see this!"
3. Making Gingerbread houses. This was So funny. Apparently I tied one of Cash's arms in to his little blue apron and it didn't seem to even bother him. For the longest time he just went with it and used his right arm. Finally tessa asked what happenned to his arm. I seriously couldn't stop laughing! Why wouldn't he complain a little?
4. Going with my parents into Salt Lake to eat and walk around temple square. No one else I'd rather go on a double date with:) Thanks Mom and Dad!
5.Making sugar cookies with the kids and Uncle Jordan. Can you see how somehow the entire bottle of sprinkles got dumped on one cookie? It was really good.
6. Simmons family Christmas party. Elle did the cutest dance for all of them right on cue. I'll see if I can get the video to upload.
7. Downs family Christmas party and Joni's birthday. One of our favorite parties of the year!
8. Cash's "new" old school valour Jordan outfit. Wow. And I ALWAYS have to take one of the kids together under the tree. Awwww. I'm such a mom.

Mele Kalikimaka
Elle and Brooklyn just had their first Dance concert together! They both did such a wonderful job. There were only four little girls in their class this time and two of them didn't really do a whole lot...nerves...so it was pretty much the Elle and Brooklyn show. We loved EVERY minute of it and were so proud. If any of you are ever around Elle in the near future, ask her for just a glimpse of the hulu...gaurantee you've never seen anything quite like it:)

Annual Preston Tree Cutting
For 28 years I've been going to Preston to cut down our Christmas tree. Seriously I think I've only missed it twice. For our honeymoon, and when Cash was born. Oh and the time I made it half way to Preston and had to make a pit stop to have my appendix out in the Logan hospital...so three times total. This year we were able to go up late Thanksgiving night and spend the night like old times. It brought back so many memories although the kids were a little tough at night. Elle and Cash were so cute on the hunt...Jordan took them sledding and they LOVED it!!!! Thanks Aunt Connie for once again being the hostess with the mostess. I LOVE our family!!!
It doesn't get any Better then Disneyland...and SANTA...together!!!!
Two of my favorite things in the world...Disneyland and Santa...together....ahhh. Disneyland is absolutely MAGICAL this time of year. The castle looked amazing covered in icicles and lights and the whole place just eminates Christmas all over. I LOVE it. It was so perfect to see Santa there and let the kids go sit on his lap while we were there. Seriously does it get any better than that for a child?!! (or the childs parents:)The Christmas parade was one of our favorites and the kids had such a wonderful time running around with the Kelsch kids. We are so glad they were brave and decided to come with us:) Next year?
It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas...in LA!!!
We can't stay away from California!!! We LOVE it!! I wanted to do a few things that we have never done before so we went to Balboa Island and got the kids their first Balboa bar....and they had such a good time taking the ferry in our car to get there. Then we headed over to Fashion Island. That will be a new tradition for me.:) The stores were so fun and it was wonderful to outdoor shop in November. Elle and Cash got a kick out of the koi pond and the pet shop right in the middle of the mall. And I got a kick out of the Forever 21 there:) After Fashion Island our last stop was Hunington Beach. We loved walked down the pier and when we got to the end there was the funniest little Seagull...and Elle couldn't stop looking at it because it only had 1 leg. Good memory:)We stayed at the Windham Disneyland Resort hotel because we had credits that needed to be used up and it was SO SO nice. We ate and swam and played and had a wonderful time despite the fact that Cash got pretty sick. (what's new..he's always sick.) One of my favorite things about this trip is that when we stopped in St. George on the way to get there, we stopped by the Kelsch's...we told them they should be spontaneous and hop in and go with us. The next day they called and they were on their way to meet us!!!!!! WE LOVE THESE GUYS! Who just jumps in the car with 5 kids (one being a 3 weeks old) and heads to Disneyland....they're the best. I want to be just like them when I grow up. We had a blast as you will see in the next post. SO many pictures!!!!
