Elle's first day of Kindergarten

I had been dreading this day for over 5 years...but somehow it decided to sneak up on me anyway. I knew I'd have a hard time driving her up to the big school and watching her walk in it, without me, wearing a back pack that's as big as she was...and I was right. Both Cash and I came home and had ourselves a good cry but it was hard to be too sad when she was so dang excited and so so so cute getting already to go. She kept reassuring Cash that "Now you'll get to go on lots of dates with just mom" and he kept telling her, "I'll miss you Elle." I am so glad I caught the picture of their last little hug before she walked in to kindergarten...Cash's face melts my heart. She looked so beautiful and am glad to report absolutely LOVES Kindergarten. Bring on the homework, fieldtrips, packed lunches, recess injuries, rushed mornings, pta involvement, sick days, projects, etc etc etc etc etc....

Ah man- I know what you mean. I have 2 weeks before the "dreaded" day. It's like you said- it does make it easier knowing that they are so excited.
