Eight is a big birthday around here! We started by bringing Tate breakfast in bed but really it was breakfast on the floor because he slept in the bonus room. He got balloons on the ceiling and started the day out right with a mario cart war with his brothers, Elle, and Dad. And then Toby took all the boys to the church where they got to play basketball together and have lunch! We ended the day with a bar b que at the house and did exactly what Tate wanted to by having a major nerf gun battle in the backyard. We divided up the family into red and blue teams and then Toby had gathered up every nerf gun and bullet in the entire house and we laid them out on a table and we each got to choose our weapon. We played kind of like capture the flag and honestly it was the best night ever. We were running around the backyard like crazy and by the end of the night I was so out of breath. We have the best backyard for stuff like this. The kids loved in and Tate was in heaven. Best night ever. Man we love that kid. He is so important to our family and we are so grateful for him.
