August Comings and Goings

 

Birthday Party in Logan

 Joel and Tessa invited us up to Logan to celebrate some of the birthdays and we sure had a great time. We met at this beautiful park. I couldn’t believe how pretty it was. Huge trees and this darling little canal/river running through it. They had tennis courts and basketball courts and Cash and Toby ended up playing some pick up ball while they were there. Had a great time until Toby injured his back. We’re getting old. The kids tried to catch tadpoles and ride their scooters and threw the football. Then we headed over to Joel and Tessas for some food. Really had a great day and hope we do it every year. 

Sunday Selfies

 We started this tradition back when Covid started and somehow we just keep making it happen! I really think we’ve only missed a handful so just get used to seeing lots of SUNDAY SELFIES in these picture books. :)

First Day Back to School

 This was a hard day for me. Especially with Kemp heading into first grade and after homeschooling the little boys for one year. They’ve just been home with me so long that I’m dreading the quiet. They all looked so cute getting ready for their first days. They all kind of started on different days which made it like ripping the bandaid off slowly. Haha. Did the best I could with pictures. Was so glad I captured this one…Tate making sure he takes care of his little brother now that they are in the same school. Kemp especially had a hard time going back. Just cried in my arms the night before knowing that he had to leave me the next day. Totally broke my heart. I felt the same way. Wish I could figure out how to slow time down. 

Sleepover in the Tent

 Wouldn’t be summer without at least one backyard sleepover in the tent! We were kind of late pulling it off but still made it happen.
