Off-Track Shenanigans!

Being off track is the best. I get to sleep in, Tate has the older kids to play with, and it's just an excuse to play play play. After the kids do their chores of course. We went to The Puppy Barn, the Children's Museum of Curiosity, The gardens,  The dinosaur museum, the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point, Sleepover at Josh and Krista's and I'm sure there were others I can't think of. Love spending time with these little hooligans. They teach me so much everyday. I wish I was more patient with them. They are growing up so fast and I know one day I'm going to look back and be so sad I didn't do more. I recently bought a sign that I hung in my craft/laundry room that says.. "Be the Mom you want them to Remember" I hung it where I can see it everyday. That is so important to me. Don't want them to remember a mom that is always telling them to clean up or yelling at them for something. Much to work on. Much to improve on. Grateful these little ones are so forgiving.

My Baby

My Baby. My love and my life:) Just a couple of pictures that I always want to have documented. Look at the way he's looking at me! Seriously melts my heart. I'm the luckiest Mom in the entire world. I really am.

Oops..He did it again.

So Toby and I and my parents were all at the Barry Manilow concert that we had had tickets for FOREVER. It's so hard to leave my kids, and I don't feel like we do it very often but we got Jordan to watch our kids and off to the concert we went. We did take Kemp though. It was almost at the end of the concert. Probably 3 or 4 songs left when I looked over and Toby was looking at his phone. He shot a worried look at me and told me to look at my phone. There was a text from Elle saying "Emergency Emergency on the way to the Hospital, Tate's bleeding everywhere." Talk about pure panic. I jumped up told my mom and Dad we had to go and ran out of there. They of course followed and Tob was so nervous since he had had to drive separate from us he asked if he could just hurry a head and he just left. I ran and grabbed the car for my parents, loading kemp and off we went. We called Jordan to find out what had happened and Jordan was very calm, said he was with the Dr., that Tate had split his head open but that he had to go. Man, it hurt so bad to think that Tate was hurting and I wasn't there with him. We drove there pretty darn fast and i ran into Riverton Hospital to be with my baby. I wasn't prepared for what I saw. There truly was blood everywhere and it wasn't his head…it was his forehead. That for some reason hurt my heart even more. He was pretty calm till he saw me..then started sobbing. I held him forever and finally got him asleep. I was super impressed with how quickly they were able to stitch him up, but still not a fun process. So for how it happened- no one even knows! The kids were all upstairs watching a show, and Tate was with them and somehow it happened with the BYU banana chair. There was nothing else that he could have hit his head on. Jordan of course felt terrible, but he didn't need too. He's gotten stitches on both Toby and my watch and no one knows my kids and watches them more than Jordan. It was his turn:) Plus I'm glad it was him and not me. He stayed way more calm. Crazy how good he handled cleaning him up, holding a rag on him, keeping cash and elle somewhat calm and driving them to the hospital. He's a pretty special guy. And now he and Tate share matching scars…and birthdays. Pretty cool. Tate handled the stitches well and got them out a week or so later. Good story to tell later on in life. Fitting that Tate would already be in the ER three times before he's even three for stitches before any of my other kids even get them:)

Easter Sunday Pics

For some reason these pictures mean the world to me. Easter Sunday was actually on the same day as General Conference so the kids didn't need to dress up to go to church...so this is technically the following Sunday. Our Sacrament starts at 9 am so you can only imagine the chaos in the morning getting four small children ready and out the door on time. But I begged them to be ready 5 minutes earlier than normal so I could try to snap some pictures. Tate was not cooperating and I was so discouraged because they all looked so cute in the coordinating outfits and we were getting no where. I left to church discouraged but after getting home and seeing these...they weren't so bad after all! I actually LOVE the one where Tate is looking at me smiling. Makes my heart so happy. These kids are my everything.

Kempers!

Just more darling pictures of my adorable baby. Who told him it was okay for him to grow up? Sitting in an exersaucer?! He's just growing too fast although he is still a little peanut for his size. I love this pic of Tate being a little attention of his first time standing up in it. I looked over and there he was sitting in it. Funny kid. Also a pic of Tate's first time going to the Dentist. Well minus the time we took him because he fell on the ladder and chipped his tooth. This was his first official time for a cleaning. And he was SO brave. I could tell he was nervous but really wanted to earn a little package of legos so he was tough. What a great kid. Such special boys I have.

St. George Vacay

Not than anyone ever needs a good reason to get away to St. George but having Jace play with the Wasatch Revolution down south is a good one. We all ( us and the Downs's)  needed some vitamin D and St. George was calling our names. Luckily our condo was available and down we went. We just swam and ate and shopped and swam some more. Jace's game was on Saturday and it was a fun game to watch although we didn't walk away with a win. Sunday we attended church and honestly I'll remember that Sacrament meeting for along time. It was almost comical how terrible Tate acted and how disruptive he was through the meeting. We walked out before it even ended. But we drove straight to the St. George Temple and walked around the temple grounds with the kids. We then headed to the city square where we let the kids wade their feet in the streams and said goodbye to everyone. Kemps first trip to St. George was a success. He's such an angel. Hardly ever even makes a peep. He was a dream to travel with and was so good the whole time. A couple days down there is never enough.
