Activity Days Talent Show

This is my second time having the calling of Activity Day leader. It was one of my callings in my last ward when Elle first entered Activity Days. Now it's the calling I have in this ward and I am so grateful I get to spend this extra time with Elle before she goes into Young Women's. When we asked the girls for some ideas of things they would like to do during the year one of the consensus was to have a talent show. So a TALENT SHOW we did! The night turned out perfectly! We had some yummy snack food, the decorations and centerpieces turned out darling and all the of the girls were seriously so cute. I was SO dang proud of Elle. She both played the piano and got up there and SANG with no music or anything. She sounded amazing!  She's growing up so fast and in a couple of months she's going to be moving onto Young Women's. I know she's ready but I'm not. I wish time could slow down a little.

Helping Tate get ready for Church

Because everyone should have a built in buddy that will help brush your teeth if you want to keep concentrating on the show you are watching. These two are seriously hilarious.

Valentines!

I'm not sure I've ever been GREAT at Valentines. I don't know why. It's a great excuse to tell the ones you love how much you do love them...so I should probably be a little better at it. This year I wanted to make sure I had a small gift for each of my kiddos. But I know that actions and words mean more than just a little gift so while the kids were at school I heart attacked their doors with things that I loved about each of them. Then I wrote them each a little love note and left it on their bed with a little gift.  We had already worked on their valentine's to their classmates and teachers. Elle gave our the cutest little paint pallets to her classes, Cash handed out sports pencils, and Taters gave the cutest little toy cars. They each did valentine boxes too. Elle created a box that looked like a duck (of course) Cash's box was a blue lego, and Tate and I made the cutest little hot air balloon for his. - Toby and I talked about saving some money and maybe going out on a night different than Valentines night since all the restaurants would be crowded. As the day went on and we weren't doing anything Tob decided we should just run to an early dinner and let Elle watch the kids for an hour. So we ran over to Pizzeria Limone and  had a nice early meal. Tob bought we some darling Nike's, some protein snacks, and some beautiful roses. I really love this family. Like really really love them. They are my world and I'm so grateful for each of them and what they teach me. I'm feeling really blessed today.

Saturdays are for Sports!

Being a mother of THREE boys I think I better get used to my Saturdays being filled with Sports. It seems like there's usually about 3 games to schedule and plan for so ya...it takes up a good chunk of the day. Some days it can be a little ruff, but honestly most there is no where else I'd rather be. This Saturday was Tates first indoor soccer game. The kid scored THREE goals. THREE!! and he could not have been more proud. He was beaming from ear to ear. We were so happy for him! Watching him and his team warm up was like cuteness overload. Then Cash had a basketball game with Jake Shoff's junior jazz team. They won. Cash played awesome like he always does. He's so aggressive on defense and is getting better and better at handling the ball. It's so hard to watch him struggle on the court at times, or miss important shots, but man is it amazing when he gets a steal, or draws a foul and then see him look over at us. Being part of a team is an amazing experience I'm grateful my boys will all get to have. Looking forward to like 15 more years of this:)

Provo Beach Resort

Every time the kids go off track I ask them what sort of fun things they want to make sure they fit in. They both said the Provo Beach resort! I think they had been wanting to go there ever since we went down to the river bottoms during Christmas time and we walked through the Beach Resort. It was totally packed that day and we were trying to fit Christmas things in so we told them we'd bring them another time. Toby had some work things going on so it was just the kids and I and Josh and his girls. The older kids had seen the ropes course and had been dreaming of doing that so that's the first place we went. Elle, Cash, Brooklyn, and Makayla got all signed up and started on their course.  I think they were all a bit nervous at first...especially Brooklyn bless her heart...but they were so brave and walked through everything the whole time and they had so much fun. Being without Toby and having those two small boys to keep track of was no easy task but if helped that the place was pretty empty. We let the kids play some arcades and then we went and ate at the cute diner they had there. We had hamburgers and chicken strips and then got the yummiest ice cream. It was a great night together and a fun memory being with Josh and the girls!
