Advent Calendars, Writing Letters to Santa, Christmas Movie Nights, and Girls Shopping

Well...It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!! December has started and we are all so excited about it! It may be a little different with Covid, but I actually think it'll help us slow down a bit and focus on what's most important. We may not get to do every tradition and go to all the shows and sit on Santa's knee, but I'm really looking forward to the time we'll get to spend at home being together. The kids got the Lego Advent Calendars on Dec 1st and Elle got a fun skin care one. We all watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional together and that helped to start Christmas out with the right tone. I love and sustain President Nelson. What an incredible man and Prophet he is. The kids wrote their letters to Santa and it took quite some time for Tate to decide wether to check the box for Naughty, Nice, or i did Okay. I think he finally settled on the I did okay. haha. We watched so many movies this week together. Elf, Jingle All the Way, Mistletoes, The Santa Clause, Home Alone.... a lot of the classics. These nights are my favorite. Just cuddled together with the fire going. We put our shoes out and Saint Nicholas and his horse Pete came and left some chocolate and stroop waffle cookies for the kids. And Tara, Kat, and I were able to get away on our girls shopping night to Station Park where she shopped our hearts out and got lots of great things for Christmas. I love that day getting to be together and laugh and talk and shop and eat. The first week of Christmas was a total success!
