Cash's Haircut and St. Patricks Day
I finally relented and got little Cash's haircut! I didn't want to since I knew it would make him look older and I'm all sentimental and just don't want to admit he's not a "baby" anymore. But gosh he looks cute. Thanks goodness for cookie cutters. He watched monsters inc and we blew bubbles and was really good for his 1st haircut. So handsome. On St. Patricks Day my Parents called to see if our leprachaun had stopped at our house. Unfortunately he hadn't. Growing up we had a leprachaun named McTavish that only came to our house and brought us gold chocolate, and lucky charms, and sprite, and rainbow licorice etc etc. Well apparantly he couldn't stay away now that there are grandkids around so we headed over to the Downs' house for a treasure hunt leading to quite the fun "treasure". Elle was so animated as she found the "clues" and literally ran from place to place. She kept saying, "Oh my gosh I can't believe this!" and she'd shake her head. Cash cracked me up...he went straight to this giant hershey kiss, unwrapped it himself, and gnawed away at the thing FOREVER. If anyone tried to take it from him he flipped. So I let him eat it until I was certain he'd have a tummy ache. First time I've posted a video...so let's see if it works:)

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!
We had such a fun evening celebrating Mom's birthday!!!! We all picked a project she wanted done and went over and had a little "service" party. She was so excited to get so many things crossed off her list. We made Scadoosh for dinner and check out the cake Krista and I made for her. Should be on the cover of Good Housekeeping March 2009. We had a great time opening presents and laughing at our cake. For one of our gifts we put together a little necklace and bracelet of all of her grandkids for her and I think they turned out so so cute. Happy Birthday Mom. Doesn't matter how much service we do for you we'll never catch up to all you do for us. We LOVE you!!!!!

Daddy's Girl
These two have a one of a kind relationship. They are truly in love. Toby can't tell me he loves me or that I'm pretty without Elle going "OHHHH :( " and dropping her head. This is toby's cue to tell her that he loves her a million and she's the prettiest girl in the world etc etc etc and then she'll smile again. Everytime I tell her how much I love her she'll say, "Ya but daddy loves me the mostest." What the heck? She's constantly telling him how handsome he is. Whenever she's hurting..she wants her Dad. She prays for him every day to drive safe in the car. Then the other day she comes upstairs out of the blue with this picture she's drawn of her and him together...the circle part to the right of his chest she says is his heart and all of his love for her. So stinkin cute. Toby came home today with a frame for that picture because honestly it was the first picture that she's really "drawn" and not scribbled. She truly is a Daddy's girl...but what can I say? So am I.

Simplify Supper!
simplifysupper.com I LOVE this site! It was either on good things utah or studio five the other day and I got right on to check it out...and loved it. It's such an easy way to plan your meals for the week. It has a lot of easy recipes....four or five ingredients...which is just my style. You go through and pick your favorites and then put them into a calendar on the days you want to make them. Then here's the best part: it automatically creates a shopping list for you with all the ingrediants for the meals. I just think that is so great! Obviously you don't have to stick to eating the meal on that day if something comes up or you change your mind...but at least you'd have the ingredients for later.
And dah dah dah dah- heres that recipe that I've been promising my friends I'd post for the last 6 months. My family named it "scadoosh" and I have yet to hear of anyone who's had it that didn't love it:
1/4 C vegatable oil
1/4 C soy sauce
2 T sugar
2 T cidar vinegar
1 T hot chili oil (I get it at macey's)
2 T toasted sesame seeds
(This is the mixture that goes on top of pasta)
Angel hair pasta
Chopped green onions
Chopped chicken (I usually do about 2 cups to one box of pasta)
Pour dressing on top and ENJOY!

2 Legit
On our way to the Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer concert. Vanilla Ice=okay MC Hammer= the dancers were so fun! So old school. Is it cool that toby knows every word to 2 legit or no? Anyway I'd prefer a Donny Osmond concert but I guess Toby needs his turn once in a while. The other day I turned around to see Cash had put on Elle's build a bear's sun glasses. It cracked me up that he would just put those on by himself and walk around with them. Funny kid.
