Christmas Traditions

Just wouldn't be Christmas without all of these things. Really though. Has there been one year in the last 32 of my life that I haven't done these Christmas traditions. I think not. And now they are so important to my kids and I love that. That's what makes Christmas so magical. We started our own little Toby Christensen family tradition of going down to the River Bottoms in Provo and seeing the santa there. If you can't tell by the pictures Tate was not too fond of Santa. But when Toby stood holding him about 10 feet away from Santa he finally said "HoHoHO." What a cutie.  Then there was Aunt Joni's family Christmas party which was super fun and we actually held it at our house this year...we invited Kathy and Tj and Teren and it was really great to have them there with us. Super fun night. Next Gingerbread houses at Grandma's house...probably one of the kids favorites. They are always so proud of their houses. This year Doug and Mary Jolley invited us to spend an evening up at the Deer Valley Montage and we had such a good time going to dinner with them and Mike Nielsen and his wife and then just going back to their room and talking and laughing for hours. Love good friends like them. Next up is WINDER DAIRY. Second time wasn't a charm and Tate still wasn't Santa's #1 fan. But we enjoyed being together and eating scones and hot chocolate and driving through the Night Before Christmas street.  Toby's been so good to do all of these things and secretly I think he has enjoyed them more and more each year. Especially as the kids have gotten older and been so excited about them. Wonderful memories.
