San Fran and the Oakland RAIDERS

How was I so blessed to go on yet ANOTHER trip of a lifetime! Toby received a call from a member of the Raiders organization asking if he would be willing to represent Todd at the anniversary of the Super Bowl win that Todd was a part of. What a privilege and something that you just don't turn down. Plus a huge bonus was the BYU was playing in a bowl game that same weekend in San Francisco. What??! I'm always hesitant to leave my kids and do something like this but I'm so grateful Toby and my parents talked me into because it was SUCH a wonderful trip. Going to AT&T stadium was unbelievable. My Dad and Tob are such big fans of Willie Mays and it was so fun to see his life-size statue. We saw  a ton of people we knew at the game too. The Coughlans were there, we ran into Tyson and Kara Smith, Chad Lewis and his wife, a ton of BYU people, and then the WIMMERS! Earlier in the day before the BYU game we had been walking all over San Fran, to Lombard Strret, down Pier 39 and we stopped to watch a  street performance. I look across the circle and there is Justin and Jaime Wimmer and their family and JD Ash and their family. What are the odds??! I knew they were going but to just see them there was hilarious. Then that evening we are at the game sitting in our pretty great seats and we turn around to see all of them sitting about 5 rows behind us. So fun. - I LOVED just being in San Fran with Toby. He's my very best friend. We just laugh and talk and LOVE to be together. We went shopping the first day, which the shopping at Union Square in San Francisco is just amazing, we ate Crepes, walked the pier, went to Ghiradelli Square, saw the seals, then the game, then ate more Crepes. It was also pretty neat that while we were walking down through the streets and the Pier random people would yell out "Hi Tob. So sorry about Dad Toby!" and stuff like that. Made him feel really good. The next day I talked him into taking a cab all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge so we could jog on it. But the deal was it was so expensive we had to run/walk the whole way home:) DEAL! I've always wanted to run on the Golden Gate and once again....Toby made my dreams come true. We walked the pier again and had another Ben and Jerry's milkshake, and authentic clam chowder soup and sour dough bread and then walked back down the pier, saw the seals again and then walked the whole way home. Had to be over 8 miles. - And we had to hurry because as soon as we got back we had to get another cab and take off to our next hotel in Oakland. Toby had a dinner banquet with all of Todd's old teammates and coaches so I just stayed back and relaxed in the hotel and worked on the old blog. The next day was the Raider game. Such a cool experience. We got to stay in the suite and eat. Which was awesome but even more awesome was the fact that my cousins Jd and Justin scalped some tickets and came to watch the halftime that Toby was able to participate in. So I actually ended up going down into the stands and sitting with them. Love that they were there to support us. Half-time was amazing. I got chills as they called out Todd's name and the crowd went wild and all the old teammates rallied around Tob and put their arms arounds him. It was a very emotional moment. So sweet to witness. When half time was over Toby came and joined us and then near the end of the game we all decided to walk down into the Black Hole for some pics. And it was so cool that all the fans knew who Toby was and were so dang nice to him. WHAT A TRIP! I loved every moment of it. But loved coming home to three little people who missed us even more:)
