Since it's so difficult to find and cut down the perfect tree up in Idaho Toby decided to compromise with me and only get one tree up in the mountains. But I wasn't ready to conform yet and get a fake tree for the living room. So again we compromised and we headed to Peterson Farms to pick out a real tree! I was surprised how much the kids loved it! It really is such a pretty place with all the lights strung around and Santa Clause is there and farm animals and it's just fun. All except for the price tag! Yikes. You can cut one down for 10 bucks or you can buy one at a tree farm for $70. I think I'm going to try to convince Toby to let us get two next year:) Tate was so happy feeding the little goats and it was fun putting it on the car and bringing it home. Love Christmas nights like this. So Christmasy and magical. And then of course just had to add these cute pictures of Tate because come on. He's ridiculously cute.

Thanksgiving 2015
Happy Thanksgiving! What an awesome Thanksgiving we had! So much to be thankful for. This year we had Thanksgiving at Kathy's on Wednesday night. We all helped bring the food and had such a wonderful meal together. Turkey, potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce, home made rolls, candy yams, green bean casserole, etc etc. We are so grateful to have Tory and Janie and their kids here too. Makes it so fun to be all together. The next morning we woke up and watched the MACEYS Thanksgiving day parade which is a must for me. I just love it. Reminds me of Thanksgiving mornings at my Grandma Doris's house. Then we got all packed up and headed up to Joni's and had a wonderful meal up there as well. Then we headed to Logan to spend the night at the Marriott. I don't know why but that is one of my favorite things to do. I love being there with just my little family, putting on a movie, all being in the hotel room together. It's so wonderful. I got some black friday shopping in with my little buddy by my side. We woke up and went out to the lobby to get a big free breakfast:) Then we headed up to Preston to get our TREE!! We met the rest of the fam and all of the cousins at the church house and then headed up to the mountains. I don't know why it's gotten so hard to find the right tree. It just has! There's so many of us and maybe we're taking all the trees?! Ha! I think we're going to try and new spot next year. Anyway we did find the perfect tree and we headed back down to the church for soup salad, and ice-cream pie. Santa came and we had our snowball fight and lots of visiting and a message from Uncle Greg and then it was back in the car and heading back home. A great Thanksgiving weekend.

Cash is Turning 8!!!
I blinked and this little boy turned 8. EIGHT?! How does that even happen? Seriously blows my mind. In my mind he is a sweet little four year old boy with blond hair who likes to cuddle with me, play with his sister, and play ball with his Dad. Guess he still loves all of that but he's 8 now. He was so much fun to celebrate because he deserves it. There is a plethora of boys his age in this neighborhood so when I knew it was his year to have a friend party I panicked seeing as how we don't have a backyard or a finished basement. This is where Toby's new calling comes in handy. We were able to get the church gymnasium and hold a birthday party there. I believe we had 11 little boys there running around and playing ball. The theme was "SPACE JAM" and basketball. We had pizza, cookies, drinks, and we gave everyone a dvd of Space Jam as a favor. It was actually a really fun and easy party to throw together and the boys had such a blast running around scrimmaging, playing pig, and racing. So glad that Cash will have these boys to grow up with. They are such great kids and have great families. Feeling very blessed. And super blessed to have Cash as a son. He really is special in so many ways.

Toby's Surprise Party!!!
I can NOT believe I didn't get any pictures of this night. What was I thinking?! I know what I was thinking. I was thinking I need to entertain 4 couples and all of their kids! Ha! I couldn't believe I really pulled it off. I've never done anything like this for Toby before and he deserved it. I invited the Rothes, Ashby's, Shoffs, and Stevens over and all their kids and when Toby got home from Tj's play they were all inside with a ton of food and balloons and we all yelled surprise! He really had no idea. I was so happy. We had a great time just laughing, talking, watching the BYU game, and I made more scones for everyone. It was fun start to his Birthday. I love him so much. He does so much for our family that he deserves how loved he is and I plan on making his whole weekend super special. Love you TOBY.
