The Polar Express, Kearns Lights, and A Christmas Carol

Christmas time is just my favorite. I'm sure it's everyones favorite but I really really love it. So many fun activities to do! We took the three oldest kids on the Polar Express again! Tate was too little to enjoy it last time. It's such a fun thing to do…the conductor punches holes in the tickets, they serve hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies, sing songs, and of course a visit from Santa Clause giving each of the kids their special bell! After we went to a little restaurant in Midway for dinner and it was actually kind of funny….we sat down and looked at the prices and were shocked. We told the kids they could each order a small cup of gelato but then we'd go somewhere else for dinner. Too much. Anyway it was a fun night and a fun memory. - The next pictures are of the Kearns light show. It's over a mile of a light show put to all sorts of Christmas music. The kids and Toby LOVED it! Kemp sat in his little car seat and danced through the whole thing. Total put us in the Christmas spirit:) We got take out after and came home and watched more Christmas movies. Then a couple of nights later we all went to A Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater. Toby, me and Elle and Cash and a bunch of the Downs. This is one of Elle's favorite things. It's cute how much she loves it. Some pretty incredible messages throughout that play. Yet another Downs tradition in the books.

Also I didn't get pictures of this but must not that both Grandma's had "Grandkids Night" where they invited just the grandkids over to have a little Christmas night at their home. They made cookies, and did crafts, watched movies, and just spent time together. The kids were in heaven. I hope they continue that tradition because I know it'll be something they always remember.
